Woofer of the week Mars wants to remind you that it is too hot to take your dog for a walk today. ☀️There is no time of day when it is a safe temperature for our furry friends.

Keep them inside and cool with plenty of cold water. 💧

More about Mars:

Mars has recently arrived to us from Egypt, where he would have been a pet before sadly being abandoned. Mars will be looking for a home, ideally in a semi rural area, with direct access to a garden. We will update his profile when we know him a little better!

As there is no culture of rehoming in Egypt, when dogs are abandoned, they are destined to live the rest of their lives in an overcrowded shelter, so when we have space, we bring dogs like Mars to our shelter to give them a chance of finding a forever home.

Please note that Mars’s adoption fee is £850 to help cover the cost of his flight to the UK. The adoption fee covers Mars’s vaccinations, microchip, neuter and pet (non-travel) passport.

Rex is a cheeky little chappie who came into our care due to a change in his owner’s circumstances.

One of his cutest features is his adorable little teeth, which never fail to make people smile. Rex enjoys meeting other dogs when he’s out and about on walks and is happy to socialise, but at home he would prefer to be the only dog in a home and have all the attention to himself. He is looking for an owner with experience of similar breeds who can provide him with the understanding, guidance, and companionship he needs to thrive.

Yesterday rescue Dog Molly was invited down the The Brixton Academy to meet Mac DeMarco backstage before his sold out show. 🎟

Molly was abandoned after being ruthlessly used for breeding, but now she (ocassionally - when Mimi lets her) works in the office, and serves as an Ambassadog at schools, events, and even music venues! 🐶🎶

She made sure the band all received the necessary love and cuddles required before they headed off to soundcheck, and Mac even dedicated a song to her later on in the evening. 🥺
