Errol arrived in our care in a terrible state, weak, injured, and clearly in pain. 💔

X-rays revealed he’d been shot with a pellet gun and was suffering from multiple infected bite wounds and scratches from a life on the street.

Despite everything he’d been through, Errol proved to be a gentle giant who wanted nothing more than head rubs and a full bowl of food.

Because Errol is FIV positive, he needed a safe, indoor-only home, and after 65 days in our care, he finally found a loving family to call his own. ❤️

💙 Helping poorly tummies get better — one bath at a time!

❤️‍🩹Sam, Sushi, Noodle and Chili all arrived with us as strays — and every single one of them had upset tummies. 💩 They all tested positive for giardia, and little Sam even needed fluids because he was so dehydrated when he came in.

🙏🏻Thankfully, they’re all improving and starting to feel much brighter 💛 But it’s meant a lot of poorly tummies for the team to clean up and plenty of baths to keep everyone fresh and comfy… which has left our supplies of sensitive shampoo running very low. 🫧

🐱We don’t get to share every story of the animals that come through our doors, but please know we always do our very best for each and every one of them. 🐾

🐶We go through a lot of gentle shampoo for cats, kittens, dogs and puppies — especially for our inpatients who need a little extra care to stay clean and comfortable (particularly when they’ve had upset tummies 💦). Like little Jaffa the ginger kitten. 🐱

🐾If anyone would like to help, donating a bottle or two of sensitive shampoo would make a big difference. 🐶🐱

🔶The Veterinary Medicines Directorate is conducting important research into how flea and tick spot-on treatments are used by pet owners and has recently launched a pet owner survey.

🔷The evidence-gathering approach is vital because it helps ensure future guidance balances effective parasite control with environmental considerations.

🔶The results of this survey will inform the work of the cross-government Pharmaceuticals of the Environment Group as it delivers against its roadmap of activities to address the levels of fipronil and imidacloprid detected in UK waterways.

🔷This research supports the development of sustainable veterinary practices that protect both pets and the environment.

🔸The survey takes 10-15 minutes
🔹Responses are anonymous and confidential
🔸Findings will inform balanced future guidance
🔹Open until 1 January 2026

Please don’t judge Hope and Chance simply because they look different. 💔

These two tiny puppies were found abandoned in a cardboard box, along with another sibling - cold, frightened, and alone.

After being rescued by our expert team, it was clear they’d been through far more than any puppy ever should. All of them required urgent care for severe facial injuries. Sadly, one did not survive, but Hope and Chance continued to fight for their lives.

Heartbreakingly, we believe they were attacked by another animal, and then deemed unsellable by a breeder and abandoned.

Despite such a tragic start to life, Hope and Chance are living up to their names. They may look different, but they have not given up.

After everything they’ve endured, all they want now is what every dog deserves - a safe and loving home with a family that will love them unconditionally.

🥺Two tiny kittens, Icaros and Apollo, were found as strays and brought into our care. Both were poorly with upset tummies and tested positive for Giardia — a tummy bug caused by a microscopic parasite that can make animals (and people) feel very unwell.

😢Sadly, little Apollo’s body was just too fragile to fight, and despite the team doing everything possible, he passed away. 💔

🏥Icaros, however, grew stronger each day. Once well enough, he went into foster care to continue his treatment — and true to his name, this brave little daredevil absolutely thrived.

🙏🏻Thanks to lots of love and care, Icaros is now fully recovered and has found his forever home. 🐾✨

She was found wandering alone near a pub, and now she’s been waiting a staggering 181 days for a home. We can’t understand why! She’s such a gentle, sweet, and friendly girl.

Lilly arrived at one of our rehoming centres after her breeder realised she was blind. 💔

They entrusted us with the task of finding her a specialised home and the care she would always need.

We were determined to give Lilly the best chance at a happy life, and Leanne quickly stepped in to foster her, providing the expert support she required.

Thanks to Leanne’s nurturing, Lilly soon transformed from a shy, scared puppy into a lively dog full of enthusiasm for life, despite her disability. She even learned verbal cues that helped her understand the world around her!

After 34 days in our care, the perfect family adopted her, and Lilly now has a best friend named Barry. 💙

Miso is a little dog with a big personality! Full of character, sociable, and happiest when spending time with people. Miso dreams of an adult-only home where his humans are around to keep him company and help him feel more confident when left alone.

Miso isn’t asking for much, just someone who understands him. With patience, respect, and love, he’ll give back a lifetime of loyalty and laughter.

Miso does enjoy meeting other dogs (though he can be a bit chatty about it!) and could happily enjoy his home with another friendly dog.

Howard Moon has been in our care for more than 125 days, still dreaming of the loving forever home he longs for. 💔

Howard came to us as a stray, anxious, unwell and covered in fleas. After a thorough health check along with vaccinations, worming and neutering, Howard made his way to a peaceful foster home where he could start his journey of discovering life as a beloved pet.

In this home environment, Howard's calm and gentle personality began to blossom as he relaxed and became more trusting.

Although diagnosed with stage-one kidney disease, Howard doesn't require any medication for this, nor does it impact his current quality of life. His only wish is for a family who will cherish him exactly as he is.

Howard is searching for a pet-free home where he can build slow and meaningful relationships with his people. He'd thrive in a peaceful environment that allows him to settle in at his own pace, grow in confidence, and learn the warmth of unconditional love.
