🐾🤎 Simba the big softie! 🤎🐾

When Simba’s owners noticed he was limping and showing signs of leg discomfort, they did exactly the right thing and brought him in for further investigation. 🩺

After being admitted for X-rays, we discovered that Simba has an injury that will require a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy) procedure. A TPLO is a specialised orthopaedic surgery commonly performed after a cruciate ligament injury in the knee. The procedure changes the angle of the tibia to stabilise the joint, reduce pain, and help dogs return to a comfortable, active life. 🦴✨

While nobody enjoys a hospital visit, Simba was an absolute superstar throughout his stay. 🌟 From cuddles and reassurance to plenty of love from our nursing team, this sweet boy had lots of support every step of the way. 💕

We know he has a journey ahead of him, but with his brave attitude and waggy spirit, we’ll be cheering him on all the way to recovery. 🐶❤️

Hoodie’s first big milestone! 💚🐾

Hoodie came in for their first vaccination and microchip and was SO brave from start to finish! 🥹✨

Vaccinations are an important part of protecting kittens from serious infectious diseases, while microchipping provides a permanent form of identification to help them find their way home if they ever go missing. 🏡🐱

Needless to say, Hoodie stole all of our hearts (and probably a few extra cuddles too! 😘). We can’t wait to watch this gorgeous little one grow and see all the adventures that lie ahead. 💕

Rosie VIP kitten alert! 🐾🌹

Sweet little Rosie came in for her very first vaccination today and she absolutely had her big girl pants on! 🩶✨ She was so brave, so curious, and charmed every single member of the team from the moment she walked through the door.

Kitten vaccinations are an important part of protecting young cats against serious infectious diseases while helping them build strong immunity as they grow. Starting their vaccination course early gives them the best protection for all their future adventures. 🏡🐱

We think it’s safe to say Rosie has already secured her place in all of our hearts! 🥹🩶

🐰💚 Lenny was admitted to us for gastrointestinal (gut) stasis — a condition that rabbits simply can’t afford to ignore. 💚🐰

Gut stasis occurs when a rabbit’s digestive system slows down or stops moving properly. Because rabbits rely on a constantly moving gut to stay healthy, this can quickly become a serious and potentially life-threatening emergency. Signs can include reduced appetite, smaller or fewer droppings, lethargy, and hiding away from their usual activities.

Prompt veterinary treatment is crucial to get the gut moving again, provide pain relief, supportive feeding, and address any underlying cause. The sooner treatment begins, the better the chances of a speedy recovery. 🌿✨

Lenny has been the perfect patient during his stay with us, and after lots of TLC, medications, and monitoring, he was feeling much brighter. 🥰

✨🐾 Post-op cuddles for sweet Miu Miu! 🐾✨

Miu Miu was an absolute superstar for her spay surgery and is now enjoying some well-earned snuggles with Dr Aoifé, who performed her procedure. 💕🥰

Spaying is an important preventative procedure that helps avoid unwanted pregnancies and can reduce the risk of serious health conditions later in life, including uterine infections (pyometra) and certain types of mammary cancer. It also means one less thing for our feline friends to worry about as they grow up! 🐱💖

We’re delighted to see Miu Miu recovering so well and soaking up all the love and attention from the team. 🌟

Goosey’s got the best medicine: cuddles, comfort and plenty of waggy tails 🐾💚

Sweet Goosey has been spending some time with us in hospital while being treated for HGE (haemorrhagic gastroenteritis). Thankfully, with lots of TLC, fluids, monitoring and a few extra cuddles from Nurse Rachel, this little superstar is on the road to recovery. 🥰

Hospital stays can be scary, so we make sure every patient gets plenty of love, reassurance and gentle attention alongside their medical care. And judging by that happy face, Goosey is soaking up every second of it! ✨

The cuddle bug of the ward 🐾💚

Lonny came to see us after her family noticed she wasn’t eating and was much quieter than usual. After being admitted to hospital for supportive care and monitoring, she quickly won over every member of the team with her incredibly sweet, cuddly nature. 🥹✨

While a missed meal might not always seem like a big deal, inappetence and lethargy can be early signs that something isn’t right. From tummy troubles and pain to infections and more serious underlying illnesses, it’s always worth getting your pet checked if they’re not acting like themselves.

Thankfully, Lonny has been the perfect patient, soaking up all the love, cuddles and attention she can get from her nursing team. Safe to say we’ve all fallen completely in love with this gorgeous girl! 💕

Leaving your pet at the hospital can feel overwhelming 💛 We know how hard it is to hand over your furry family member, even for a short stay. At Elizabeth Street Veterinary Clinic, we want every owner to know that your pets are cared for with the same love, patience, and attention we’d give our own. 🐾

During Howard’s stay, his “most important” treatment according to him was daily head bumps and cuddles with Nurse Megan 🐾🐱Between medications, monitoring, and naps, TLC was high on the treatment plan too!

A little comfort goes a long way in recovery, and we’re proud to make sure our patients feel safe, loved, and spoiled while they’re with us ✨

Sweet little Nutmeg popped in for a puppy check, and Nessy simply couldn’t resist a few cuddles and kisses to help seal the deal on a positive vet experience! 🥹🤎

Puppy checks are an important part of growing up healthy and confident. They give us the chance to monitor development, discuss vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutrition, behaviour, and answer any questions new owners may have. Most importantly, they help puppies build positive associations with the vet from an early age. 🩺🐶
