Freddie has some explaining to do… 😂🐾

This cheeky boy found himself in a spot of bother after eating some underwear he discovered in a bush! 🙈

Thankfully, Freddie is recovering well after surgery and is now on a mission to redeem himself by showing off his very clever safety trick with Jacqueline! 🌟💙

We think that deserves a few brownie points, Freddie… just remember, underwear is definitely NOT on the menu! 🐶💕

🎆 🐾 Bonfire Night is coming… how will your pet cope?

Fireworks can be stressful for dogs, cats and small pets, and with Bonfire Night getting closer, now is the time to start preparing.

💭 Ask yourself… how did your pet cope with fireworks last time?

Did they hide, tremble, pace, pant or struggle to settle? Perhaps they became unusually clingy or went off their food? Signs of firework anxiety aren't always obvious, so it's important to recognise when your pet might be feeling worried.

🏡 Start preparing a safe space now. Somewhere calm, comfortable and familiar that your pet can retreat to when things get noisy. Getting this ready ahead of time can help them feel more secure.

🐾 If your pet struggled with fireworks last year, don't wait until the first bang. Speak to your local Goddard Vet Group practice in advance. Our veterinary teams can discuss your pet's individual needs and help you plan ahead.

💙 A little preparation now can make a big difference when Bonfire Night arrives.

Parrot visited us for a dental procedure, but it looks like the enrichment toys were the highlight of her stay. Safe to say she made herself right at home! 🐾💖

Grass seeds may look harmless, but their barbed shape means they can travel in one direction only - into your dog’s skin, ears, eyes, paws or nose. Take a minute after every walk to check your dog over, especially during the summer months ☀️

If you notice excessive licking, head shaking, sneezing or a painful eye, contact your vet promptly 📞
