Hope, Lorraine and Julie took part in the Lockerbie gala fun run yesterday as part of their training for the 10k Cancer research race for life 💙🤍
They will be joined by 4 other colleagues in July to take on the challenge. Some of the group had never run properly before signing up, so it’s going to be a real challenge for them!🏃🏻‍♀️
They are hoping to raise vital funds for a disease which affects so many, they hope they can help make a small difference.
If you would like to get behind them and encourage them through the 10k run, they would be very grateful for a small donation.🎁
If you see any of them hobbling round work on the Monday, don’t be too alarmed!

May marks veterinary nurse awareness month🩺
Here at Ark we have a wonderful team of nurses who are always on hand to lend a hand. They preform a variety of tasks and procedures, the vets would be truly lost without them!

Pet travel to Northern Ireland update🛂

From the 4th June you will no longer need an Animal health certificate (AHC), a rabies vaccination or tapeworm treatment. 📄💉

Going forwards you will need to apply for a Northern Ireland pet travel document (PTD) for cats, dogs and ferrets. 🐶🐱
Your pet must be microchipped and you can apply here - https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-northern-ireland-pet-travel-document.
It’s a one off application for the lifetime of the pet while they remain in your ownership, but you do need a separate PTD for each pet. If you are onwards travelling, you will need to apply for different documents.

For more information have a look here - https://www.gov.uk/taking-your-pet-abroad/travelling-to-northern-ireland?

Take your pet dog, cat or ferret abroad: getting a pet passport or export health certificate, microchip, vaccinations and tapeworm treatments.
