Pet travel to Northern Ireland update🛂
From the 4th June you will no longer need an Animal health certificate (AHC), a rabies vaccination or tapeworm treatment. 📄💉
Going forwards you will need to apply for a Northern Ireland pet travel document (PTD) for cats, dogs and ferrets. 🐶🐱
Your pet must be microchipped and you can apply here - https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-northern-ireland-pet-travel-document.
It’s a one off application for the lifetime of the pet while they remain in your ownership, but you do need a separate PTD for each pet. If you are onwards travelling, you will need to apply for different documents.
