**Free download** As the weather gets warmer and the evenings get longer, wildlife is becoming more active, and outdoor cats are spending more time out and about. Unfortunately, this means that we often also see an increase in animal road traffic collisions. If you want to make drivers in your area aware of spots where animals are likely to be in the road, I've made a set of warning signs that you can print at home. Just print, laminate, and display. They are free to order from my webshop, or you can get an instant download here https://linktr.ee/pawsitivepetnurse

It's world sleep day, and nothing makes me happier than seeing these guys snoozing together in a puddle 😴 We all know how important good sleep is for both physical and mental health, but did you know that changes in your pet's sleep can be an early indication of health changes? Being familiar with your pet's normal routine is so helpful in picking up changes that might otherwise be missed.

Let's use my lovely Charlie bear as an example πŸ’œ Charlie has musculoskeletal and gastric health issues that cause him chronic pain. Day to day he's really comfortable and well managed with a pain relief regime, but he can have flare ups where he has periods of breakthrough pain. Changes to how quickly he settles at night, and how easily disturbed he is while sleeping are reliable indicators for Charlie that a flare is starting. Noticing these little changes early on mean that we can get ahead of things and keep him happy and comfy. So if you notice changes in your pet's sleep pattern or quality, take note and talk to your vet.

Wishing you and your pets a great night's sleep tonight 😴

Since starting the Pawsitive Pet Nurse, I’ve focused on in-person visits. Over the next few months I’m going to be changing direction slightly, and focussing more on producing products and resources that can be easily used at home. I hope that this will help me to increase the ways that I can support you and your pets, while also letting me spend more time with my own gang.

I’ve been busy planning and preparing for this change, and the first step is a shiny new product that I’m super excited to be launching at the end of the month! It’s designed based on my clinical experience, it’s handmade by me, and it aims to give you easy practical support whenever your pet feels stressed or overwhelmed. I can’t wait and I hope you’ll love it!

In the meantime, if you’d like to stay updated on what I’m doing next, get early access to the product launch (and a cheeky little discount!), you can join my email newsletter https://mailchi.mp/2ccddcddc248/newsletter

It's national small dog day, and while I love all dogs, I don't think it's any secret that it's terriers who have my heart πŸ’œ I was lucky to grow up surrounded by Labradors, but in my early teens my parents helped me to rescue Punkie, the smallest dog to ever join our family. She was an old, opinionated Australian terrier, and my first true love. Thank you Punkie, for showing me the joy that can come in the tiniest of packages, and for starting my love of terriers πŸ’—
