We’re turning back the clock… with a brand-new Steampunk photo backdrop that’s never been used before! 🤎⚙️

Every dog that visits us for a groom throughout August will have the chance to pose for a fun photo wearing a few steampunk-inspired accessories. Top hats, goggles, gears… it’s all a bit of light-hearted fun, and we can’t wait to see everyone’s photos! 📸

Do you have anything steampunk-themed at home? A hat, goggles, waistcoat, scarf or quirky prop? Bring it along! We’d love to include it in your dog’s photo and make it even more unique.

Why is National Mutt Day celebrated twice a year? 🐾❤️

Unlike many awareness days, National Mutt Day is celebrated twice each year – on 31st July and 2nd December.

The day was created by animal welfare advocate Colleen Paige to shine a spotlight on the wonderful mixed-breed dogs waiting in rescues and shelters. By having two dedicated days each year, the campaign helps raise awareness more than once, encouraging more people to consider adopting a mixed-breed dog and celebrating the love, loyalty and unique personalities they bring.

Every mixed-breed dog is one of a kind. Whether they’re rescued, rehomed or have been part of the family from the very beginning, they deserve to be recognised just as much as any pedigree dog.

So today, let’s celebrate all the amazing mutts out there! Share a photo, give them an extra cuddle, and if you’re thinking about adding a dog to your family, why not consider giving a deserving rescue dog a forever home? 🐶💕
