The Bearded Pooch (formerly Shampoochies) was started by Gemma in 2014, inspired by her Giant Schnauzer, Euston. What started as one woman in her van, quickly grew to a husband and wife team, and in recent years has added more team members and a busy, state of the art grooming salon in 2 fantastic locations. Our skilled groomers use the latest equipment, technologies and skills to ensure your pets

look great and feel great after their treatments. We offer grooming for all breeds large or small, and services include nail clipping, ear cleaning, body styling, deshedding and much more. We have 2 sites - Hawgrip Plant Centre - Enderby & Palmers Garden Centre - Ullesthorpe. We look forward to seeing you and your poochies soon!

We have attending our next week - 10th June at 2.30 for a couple hours talking all things clippers, blades, servicing, scissors and how to maintain it all. They will also be brining along some amazing products to look at and purchase.

We currently have 5 students attending but we are opening the invite up to anyone that wants to know more about how to look after their equipment from the experts! This is a completely free event to attend - just drop us a message if you are interested in coming along - it will only be for a couple hours!

Hot hot hot 🥵

This week as we all know is going to be a tad warm - both our salons and training academy are fully air conditioned so we can maintain the temperature inside so it’s comfortable for all.

However please do not attempt to walk your dogs from home to either salon in the heat - if that is your only way to get to us please do message/call to rearrange. We do not need dogs turning up on the verge of heat exhaustion - they cannot safely be groomed

Wow what a lovely bank holiday weekend ahead of us!?! Keep your dogs hydrated with plenty of shade - did you know bone broth is a brilliant way to keep them hydrated - you can buy it as a powder and make it yourself then freeze as ice cubes or pour it straight from a carton!
