“Could your dog be The Bearded Pooch’s next top model?!”

We have had an influx of new and very enthusiastic students wanting to complete the Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming & Salon Management. This means we need lots of dog models for them to learn - we need ALL breeds and sizes!

🐾 Appointments on Tues/Weds/Thurs
🐾 Full clips at 9/9.30am
🐾 Bath tidy/de-sheds at 2.30/3pm
🐾 Grooms will be longer than normal with breaks
🐾 Fully supervised by Gemma

The best part - you receive 50% off your groom price!!! We need all breeds even if it’s just bath and tidy to keep them going between full grooms. We don’t mind wiggly ones either. However if they find grooming difficult and are currently with a groomer who is building a relationship & trust wit them then they may not be suitable for a student groom - always message to ask we will say if we don’t think they’d be suitable and would never put a dog under unnecessary stress.

January so far…

It has already been a busy couple of weeks at the Academy - 2 new starters began their journey on the iPET Level 3 in Dog Grooming & Salon Management - their 1st step to becoming qualified groomers.

We have also had 2 people end their journeys with certificate collections and now can officially say they are Qualified Dog Groomers.

Having these laid out side by side made me appreciate the journey you go on as a “newbie”. From the day you first step foot in the academy as a student & pick up your starter kit to the final time you step in the academy picking up your certificate and rosette to signify the hard work that has been put in to achieve this. Proud. 🥹💜

Happy New Year 🥂

Happy New Year to all our past, present & future students! We have added new courses to our course list with plans for more exciting courses this year!

We have seen so many students over the last year achieve their qualifications and added to their list of qualifications and it’s been amazing and a privilege to see your businesses go from strength to strength! We are honoured to have been a part of that journey.

We cannot wait for our 2026 students and to hopefully catch up with previous students whether it be at competitions or a coffee & catch up! Our door is always open!

**2026 Diploma registrations at 2025 price**

Ever fancied a move into dog grooming? Now is your time to register on the iPET level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming & Salon Management as it is priced at £4600 only until 31st Dec 2025!

We are currently taking registrations for students starting Jan 2026 onwards but you can register now on the lower price of £4600 ready to start next year before the new price of £5000 is implemented.

A very delayed post but a very worth one….

Proud students and tutors as here are the latest certificate collections….

Caroline, Charlotte, Christie, Rhyiana & Phoebe have all completed their Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming & Salon Management qualification! They are all now classed as qualified dog groomers in the industry and have their own businesses up and running!

We have also had our own complete the Level 3 Award in Education & Training for Animal & Veterinary Professionals! Which means she can now teach in the pet professional world! Watch this space for what is ahead for Mia!

Gemma & Jodie are very proud tutors of you all and wish you all the success in the world! We look forward to watching your journeys progress!

👩‍🎓📚 New Tutor Announcement 📚 👩‍🎓

A lot of you will know Jodie very well - she has been with us since 2021 grooming at Enderby and most recently working at Ullesthorpe as well. Not only has she been splitting her time between the 2 salons but also working hard on a completing a few different courses that have taken her interest. The most recent one being the iPET Network Level 3 Award in Education & Training for Animal & Veterinary Professionals.

This now means she is an official Tutor of . Jodie primarily will be assisting with our Fast Track students with the view to teaching a few of the iPET courses she has completed recently and teach other students!

This is not an easy course to complete especially not alongside full time grooming, family life, competition grooming & learning the tutoring ropes - a huge achievement and so very proud of 🙌

Please join us in co n congratulating Jodie on this massive achievement and cannot wait to expand our course selection in the Academy!

3 Diploma Students collected their certificates this last week! This is a huge achievement and a lot of work goes into achieving this. These students are now recognised in the industry as “Qualified Dog Groomers”. Unfortunately our industry is completely unregulated and you can just wake up and decide to start grooming dogs without any qualifications - scary!

However Karen, Evie and Di have all invested into becoming qualified to achieve the qualification they feel is needed in this industry - please join us in congratulating them!

**40% off dog grooms**

We have 5 students currently working their way to achieving the iPET diploma and we need model dogs for them to groom! Any breed or crossbreed and any style! They will be with us from 9-2ish for full grooms or 2.30/3pm for a bath/tidy or bath/de-shed and will have a break with lots of attention during their time with us.

Spaces are on Tues/weds/thurs - any breed is accepted with a massive 40% saving! You could even use this opportunity to give them an “in between groom” during this horrid weather and save you bathing them!
