Bramble, a 3-month-old puppy, made a not-so-wise decision and swallowed a drawing pin 😬

Thankfully, his owners witnessed it happen and acted quickly, bringing him straight to us. An X-ray confirmed the drawing pin was in his stomach, and surgery was needed to remove it. The procedure went smoothly and the culprit was safely extracted.

We’re pleased to say Bramble is now recovering well and is back on the road to being his playful self again 🐶💙 Hopefully he has learnt is lesson and no more pins will be consumed.

Welcome to our page! Beechwood Veterinary Group has been providing caring and professional treatment for more than 50 years within the Leeds area. Our team provides a friendly service covering all aspects of veterinary surgery and medicine - vaccinations, routine and emergency services, medical investigations, dietary advice, dental work etc. Our clients have access to 24-hour emergency consultations and treatment. We are approved by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) as a practice that can train small animal nursing staff. The RCVS Practice Standards Scheme was launched in January 2005 to establish a quality assurance framework to promote and maintain the highest standard of veterinary care.
