We are currently looking to recruit one member of staff to join our small team which is based in South Milford (LS25).
We are a boarding kennels and a stray/ rehoming kennels that are located at different points on the property. The applicant will be required to be comfortable working in both areas.
The role advertised is for a minimum of 24 hours with possibility of more.
The role will include
• Cleaning
• Exercising
• Customer Service including phone and in person
• Record keeping
• Handling dogs with limited history
• General maintenance
• Meet and greets with potential adopters
• Day to day care of all dogs.
Applicants require the following qualities
• An animal lover with a genuine love of dogs
• Be competent and confident in dog handling abilities
• Have a positive outlook, be enthusiastic and use own initiative
• Be reliable and have good time keeping skills
• Have the drive to provide animal care that fulfils the dogs needs
• Must work well lone or as part of a small team
• Be comfortable providing customer service
• Have canine related qualifications or previous experience working with dogs.
• Be 18 years or over with own transport
The closing date for applications for this role is the 10th October 2025.
Please note that this role will include year round work both inside and outside. As with most animal care jobs, the role is to include weekends and bank holidays, including Christmas and other holidays, this is set on a rota basis.
Working times are between 7am and 7pm but will generally be 7:45 to 5:30.
