The pendulum has swung!

Iā€™m noticing somewhat of a dangerous trend especially amongst balanced dog trainers at the moment. The obsession of creating hyper engagement with a young dog usually a malinois, giving little or no interaction with 3rd parties in fear of jeopardising the handlers value.

Asking for trouble imo

All well and good till the vet got to get up close and personalā€¦

Donā€™t be fooled by all these heeling Malinois on your feed. Obedient - yes. Social - rarely šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø (ye there are exceptions I know)

One of my favourite things to teach. Has some benefits tooā€¦.

Playing with your dog is great, but play without control builds and engine you might not have the brake pads for. Without any impulse control, play just becomes exercise - youā€™ll make your dog acutely tired but over time fitter, increased exercise capacity and overall a higher demand for fulfilment.
