🚧 ROAD CLOSURE – BOWERHAM ROAD 🚧

A quick heads-up for our clients! 🐾 Bowerham Road will be closed for resurfacing works on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th August, 8am–4pm. We remain open during this time.

This means there will be no access along Bowerham Road during the closure, so please allow extra time for your journey to the practice and plan an alternative route🚗

Keeping up to date with vaccinations is an important part of helping keep our feline friends protected and healthy. 🩷

🐾💙 Simba’s very important new toy! 🧸🐶

Simba came in to see Vet Helen for his appointment and was such a good boy! 🌟 As a special reward, he got to take home a lovely new toy… and he was VERY excited about it! 😂💙

He couldn’t wait to show everyone on reception, bouncing around and jumping up to make sure we all got a good look! 🥹🐾

We think it’s safe to say Simba approves of his new toy! 🎾💙

🐾💉 Puppy checks with Betty! 💕🐶

Beautiful Betty came to see us for her vaccinations and a little weight check! 🥰⚖️

Did you know that puppies can come in for monthly puppy checks while they’re growing? These visits are a great opportunity for us to keep an eye on their weight and growth, check that they’re developing as they should, and answer any questions you might have along the way. 🐾💗

Puppies grow so quickly, so regular weight checks can help us make sure they’re happy, healthy and thriving! 🌟

🐾 Bringing Home a New Kitten? Take It Slow! 🐱💚

Welcoming a new kitten into your home is such an exciting time, but remember – first impressions matter! 🏡✨

Introducing a new kitten to resident cats (or even dogs) should always be done gradually. Taking things slowly can help reduce stress, build confidence, and create the best chance of a happy friendship.

Here are a few tips:
🐾 Start with separate spaces so your kitten has a safe room to settle into.
👃 Swap bedding or toys first to let them get used to each other’s scent.
🚪 Allow short, supervised introductions when everyone seems relaxed.
🍗 Reward calm behaviour with treats and praise.
⏳ Be patient – every pet adjusts at their own pace, and some introductions can take days or even weeks.

A little patience now can lead to years of happy companionship. ❤️

🐾 For emergencies: Please call the practice on 01524 840033. Your call will be diverted to us so we can assist you.

💊 The practice will remain open for medication collections during this time. However, as our systems will be offline, we will not be able to accept card payments between 12:30pm and 1:30pm.
