We think getting to know each of our patients and clients personally and ensuring they receive the care they deserve is the best way to provide fantastic veterinary services. We offer all of the services for the day-to-day care of your family pet, from vaccination

s and consultations to routine operations. We also welcome visiting experts who can provide soft tissue surgery, cardiology and orthopaedics, without you having to travel to an unfamiliar surgery. When visiting Lancaster Vets please be aware that we have a car park to the left of the building and full disability access throughout the practice!

🐾✨ Hello everyone, my name is Lucy! ✨🐾

A few weeks ago, I partially tore my cruciate ligament. With the amazing support from the team at Lancaster, I’m now back on my paws and enjoying pottering around my house again. 🐕💪

Leanne has been giving me massage and laser therapy to help strengthen my muscles and support my recovery. Thanks to all this care, I’m feeling happier, stronger, and more energetic every day! 🌟❤️

Conkers are a classic part of autumn, but they pose a serious risk to our pets - especially curious dogs who love to pick things up with their mouths.

👉 Conkers can cause tummy upsets, blockages, and even contain toxic compounds can be harmful if ingested. They're also a choking hazard, particularly for smaller dogs.

So, while they’re fun for kids to collect, it’s best to steer your dog away from conkers during walks.

⚠️ If your pet has eaten one, or you’re unsure, give us a call right away for advice.

To keep every walk safe and happy this season, here are a few top tips:

🧥 Stay Warm: Ensure your pet is comfortable and warm with appropriate clothing, especially if they have short fur
⚠️ Watch Out for Hazards: Be mindful of fallen leaves, which can hide potential dangers like sharp objects or holes
🦌 Stay on Leash: With wildlife more active, keep your pet on a leash to prevent unexpected chases
💧 Hydrate: Bring water for your pet, as they can still get thirsty even in cooler weather
✔️ Check for Ticks: Ticks may still be active in October so keep up your tick checks after each walk
