Just a little reminder we are closed the upcoming bank holiday Monday for a well deserved rest... Open as normal the Tuesday following it.

Any customer orders for dog or cat food please ensure they are in this week by Thursday latest for the week following.

Unfortunately it is with regret we are no longer accepting Scottish notes within store, as a small business it saddens me to say this is due to us seeing an increase in counterfeit ones.

We apologise if this causes any inconvenience🐾

We do have a very techy (fancy & expensive!)😅counterfeit note checking machine which ALL bank notes are checked with - Please do not be offended when we check its not personal!

Its the best way going forward to prevent fraud but also to protect the future circulation of fake notes. Any CCTV imagery will also be passed on to relevant bodies to help protect other businesses its hard times as it is without having fraudulent monetary loses on top!

We have brought in a little help from our adorable assistant Ronnie to help get the word out and he is bringing a very clear message with him:

We have some very sad news to share with all that met him... 🐾

So many of you met Wilson as he became a very familiar face at Hala Pets over the last 4 years, if not behind the counter in his pram or on delivery... he was often found tucked up in his bed snug as a bug.

Our hearts have been broken once again on Saturday cruelly just 8 days after our wonderful rescue Tia (16yrs) passed away...

A true testament to what a life full of the best quality food and a lifetime of natural treats and unlimited love looks like at his grand age of nearly 17 and of course in true 'Terrier' style of resilience.

He really was the best dog you could ask for and we loved him unconditionally.

His picture now sits proudly behind the counter. So if you have a minute cuddle your furry friends a little tighter, because the hole they leave even for something as small as Wilson is very big and everything feels very empty and quiet.

If you do ask us about it this week especially we might just cry 🥲 as we sit thick in the grief. So I thought it would be best to do Wilson his own post to honour his memory. And if you can take a moment for our little Wilson do, he loved meeting people and he loved other dogs.
