Struggling with your nervous or reactive dog?

Meet Ronnie! 💙

When Ronnie first came to me, he was extremely nervous and reactive around other dogs. But with the right approach, things are changing for the better!

Through fun, confidence-building games and concept training — focusing on impulse control and disengagement — Ronnie is making incredible progress.

Would you like to know how we achieve incredible results with our reactive students?

We actually reshape your dog’s brain through fun, engaging games that teach vital concepts like impulse control 🧠🎉

We call this a “window of training” — when your dog can pause for just 2-5 seconds after spotting a trigger, it creates the perfect moment to introduce life-changing behaviour transformations.

These small pauses lead to massive breakthroughs in confidence, calmness, and focus.

Do you have a problem with your dog biting you or other people?

You’re not alone — and you don’t have to feel stuck with it.

Many dogs who bite aren’t mean or trying to dominate… they’re often just overwhelmed, frustrated, or overly aroused.

The good news? Science-based training can completely turn this around.

Modern dog training focuses on understanding why your dog is biting.

In most cases, it’s not “bad behaviour” — it’s an emotional response. By focusing on lowering arousal, teaching emotional control, and using reward-based methods, you can actually change how your dog feels in those situations.

If you are struggling it can get better, and often much faster than you’d think!

Introducing Blaze ❤️ — a case study in emotional regulation.

Blaze is a young dog who initially exhibited elevated arousal and reactivity when exposed to novel stimuli, including unfamiliar people and other dogs. These behaviours, while developmentally normal in many puppies, can escalate without appropriate intervention.

Through the strategic use of concept training, we’ve introduced Blaze to exercises that build his ability to engage his cognitive brain over his reactive brain. Specifically, we’ve focused on developing his “dimmer switch”—the capacity to modulate emotional intensity rather than defaulting to overstimulation.

The results? Blaze is now increasingly able to self-regulate in environments that previously triggered impulsive or reactive behaviour.

If your puppy is struggling with similar challenges, we can help.

Celebrating Sully 💙

When Sully first came to me, he displayed heightened reactivity toward unfamiliar dogs, particularly in novel environments.

Through the structured use of concept-based games grounded in cognitive and emotional self-regulation, we focused on building his ability to disengage from triggers and develop alternative coping strategies. These games were designed to promote impulse control, optimism, and resilience — all critical components in behaviour modification for reactive dogs.

The progress he has made is remarkable. Sully is now consistently demonstrating emotional regulation and the ability to choose disengagement over reactivity in the presence of novelty. His transformation is a testament to the power of relationship-based learning and concept-driven training methods.

So proud of this beautiful, big, young man! 💙

Hey Cheshire Dog Owners! Struggling with a reactive dog and unsure what to do next? You’re not alone — and we’re here to help.

Anthony Rogers - Dog Behaviour , we take a science-led, compassionate approach grounded in modern behavioural science and learning theory. Many of the dogs we work with have already been exposed to outdated tools like prong collars, slip leads, and shock devices — methods that research shows can increase anxiety and worsen reactivity.

We focus on identifying the underlying emotional drivers of reactivity, whether that’s fear, frustration, or arousal, and then apply force-free, evidence-based interventions that help dogs feel safe, supported, and empowered to make better choices.

Over the past five years, we’ve helped over 1,000 dogs build confidence, reduce reactivity, and improve their relationship with their humans — all without punishment or medication.

What’s included?
We’re currently offering a package of 3 one-to-one behaviour sessions for just £200, tailored specifically to your dog’s behavioural needs and emotional profile.
