I started making Paracord leads and collars just after we got Alfie, our Wire Fox Terrier. Any one who knows a WFT will know that when they are off their lead, they don't always come back! I was looking for a strong piece of cord to tie to his collar when he was off his lead so that I could stand on it to stop him running off again. Cobra weave leads are very strong but are

comfortable to use - Paracord doesn't create friction burns if your dog suddenly pulls on the lead. The cord is woven around a centre core which runs right through the lead from the hook and around the handle. The handle won't unravel as it is woven back into the lead. A 'King Cobra' or double cobra weave can be used for larger dog collars and a pleated lead with cobra handle is excellent for small dogs. Both of these options can be seen in the photo gallery. Options available? It's up to you! I can make a Cobra lead up to 12 feet long and in any 2 colours you would like. Been meaning to add my range of PVC Webbing collars and leads to the Alfiesleads website and decided to photograph the new collars with engraved tags. Bit difficult when a 1 year old Wire Fox Terrier runs off with the collars!!!!

Thank you Woodside DAC for a great weekend. It was lovely to meet new and existing customers, I’m aiming to get all of the orders out by Friday.

We are keen to support the local businesses who provide trade stands at our shows.

This year we are again having vouchers instead of trophies for our class winners. A voucher may be exchanged for product to the value of £10 at our trade stands and is valid until the end of September.

If you are a grade 1 or 2 handler and have your first ever win with your dog, you can choose instead to exchange your voucher for a special rosette from our supplier The Rosette Room to give you a lasting memento of your first win. Another enormous dog collar on its way to a very big dog!!! This one is 65cm long. The double king cobra weave it 4.5cm wide and very chunky!! Perfect for large tactical buckle. LOTS of time and paracord goes into a collar like this but I think they look amazing on very big dogs!!!
