A ring was found today, just outside our practice, and has been handed in by a member of the public. If you have lost a ring today near our Kilmarnock practice, please contact us. The ring will be given to the person who can describe it accurately.

We have unfortunately had a deceased, black young adult female cat handed in to us, she has a very distinctive collar but no chip, she was found in Lammermuir Road

Mammary tumours.

Did you know that mammary tumours are more
common in female dogs that haven't been spayed?

They often start as pea-sized lumps in the mammary
(breast) tissue but can grow large and ulcerate. It is not uncommon for dogs to develop mammary tumours in multiple teats at the same time.

There are many different types of mammary tumours, around 50% of which are aggressive, but more even the benign types can transform to become aggressive over time. It is recommended that any mammary masses are removed promptly for analysis, and this is usually curative.
