We have some exciting news 🎉🎉 we currently have an opening for a Canine Assistant position at K9 Leisure Club! 🐾

The details of the positions are as followed:

Position: Canine Assistant
Hours: 20 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Wage: Minimum wage
Start Time: 7:30 AM

Role Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Canine Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, have a keen attention to detail, and most importantly, enjoy spending time with dogs

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide daily care and companionship to our canine residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dogs’ living and play areas.
• Assist with feeding and exercising the dogs.
• Monitor the health and behaviour of the dogs, reporting any concerns to management.

Requirements:
• Genuine passion for working with dogs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of care.

It’s really common for dogs to feel a little unsure of water, especially if they haven’t been around it before.

The good news?

With gentle encouragement and a safe environment, even the most hesitant pups can grow to love swimming.

Hydrotherapy helps by introducing dogs to the water at their own pace, building trust and confidence with lots of positive reinforcement. Over time, many nervous swimmers surprise their owners with just how much they enjoy it!

And the benefits?

Swimming isn’t just fun, it’s a full-body, low-impact workout that’s kind to joints, great for dogs of all ages, and a brilliant way to boost both fitness and wellbeing! 🐶💪

What a fur-tastic day we had last Sunday at the Family Fun Day & Dog Show at Far Forest Showground, all in aid of the amazing Staffie Charity! 🐾✨

We were thrilled to be part of the event, with the lovely Georgia from .enhancephysio chatting to visitors about the benefits of physiotherapy, and Mia showing just how creative and caring she is with her grooming skills.

Our pool was out and ready, giving curious (and not-so-curious!) pups a chance to have a splash around while we chatted about the benefits of hydrotherapy.

It was wonderful to see so many wagging tails enjoying the day.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, it was a fantastic day in support of such a brilliant cause.
