A little welcome to some of the lovely new dogs and owners who have joined us recently, and always a great big thanks to our loyal returning customers.

It’s always a privilege when someone chooses us to care for their dog, and we never take that trust for granted. Whether you’ve been visiting us for years or have only just discovered us, thank you for supporting our small business.

Just a reminder that Jessica will be on annual leave for two weeks in June ☀️

Because of this, we are both extremely short on space between now and July, and appointments are filling much faster than usual

If your pup is due a groom soon, please make sure to get booked in as early as possible to avoid disappointment

☀️🐾 PLEASE READ – KEEP YOUR DOGS SAFE IN THIS HEAT 🐾☀️

With the current heatwave, we want to remind everyone just how dangerous high temperatures can be for dogs. Heat stroke can happen incredibly quickly, and every summer we sadly see far too many dogs become seriously unwell from being walked or transported in unsafe conditions.

We are still OPEN as normal, and the salon is fully air conditioned to keep your pups comfortable during their appointments. ❄️

However, we kindly ask that dogs are only brought to appointments by car where possible. If your only option is to walk down in the heat, please contact us to rearrange — we are more than happy to reschedule appointments to keep your dog safe.

No groom is ever more important than your dog’s health.

⚠️ Common signs of heat stroke include:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Bright red gums or tongue
• Lethargy or weakness
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Disorientation or wobbliness
• Collapse or seizures in severe cases

If you notice any of these signs, move your dog somewhere cool immediately, offer small amounts of water and contact a vet urgently.

Another Cocker transformation underway...

This handsome boy is 2 years old, neutered, never been hand stripped before… and brown (groomers will know that’s often the trickiest coat colour to achieve a really clean finish on!).

We were very upfront with Max’s owners from the beginning — there was always a chance his coat wouldn’t strip, or that we wouldn’t achieve much in just one session. Thankfully, his coat came out far better than expected and, most importantly, he coped brilliantly with the process with very minimal signs of stress

For a first session, we’re so pleased with what we achieved. We think another one, possibly two appointments and we’ll have those correct spaniel patterns properly established, before moving onto regular maintenance appointments going forwards

A little before ➡️ after transformation for this handsome pup

This sweet boy had previously had introductions elsewhere, but unfortunately his first full grooming experience hadn’t gone quite to plan. When his owners reached out to us, we promised we’d do our absolute best — whilst also setting realistic expectations, as every puppy reacts differently and we’d never worked with him before

Thankfully, he surprised us and we managed to achieve a pretty lovely finish for his first visit with us. His muzzle could have done with a bit more attention, however he was over the whole process and we didn't want to push him past his limits as we knew it needed to be a positive first experience with us

Like many adolescent dogs, he’s got a few silly puppy behaviours and some manners to learn, but the most important thing is that his owners are committed to working with us to help him become more comfortable and confident with grooming as he grows. Teamwork makes such a huge difference

We’re really excited to continue this journey with him and watch him grow into a well-mannered boy who enjoys the grooming process 🫶🏼

This handsome boy had to go much shorter than planned due to severe matting, but thanks to his owners committing to a regular grooming schedule, we’re already in a much better place for his next appointment. Consistency truly makes all the difference.

What many owners don’t realise is that grooming is essential care, not a luxury. Hidden beneath this dog’s matting was an abscess that we discovered during his groom — a vet visit later confirmed it was dangerously close to rupturing. Thankfully, it was found when it was.

Matting is not just cosmetic; it can hide serious skin issues, cause discomfort, restrict movement, and impact your dog’s overall wellbeing. Regular professional grooming alongside proper home maintenance is vital for keeping your pets healthy, comfortable, and happy.

We’re so pleased to see this boy back on track and feeling so much better already.

This one was a fun one 🫶

One of our previous puppy package pups came in today requesting… a mullet!
Not an everyday groom for us, but we’re always up for a challenge and absolutely loved doing something a little different! We’re a little obsessed with how it turned out.

Inspired by pup, this little dude fully understood the assignment. As his coat matures we’ll be able to shape and perfect it even more, but for now we’re super happy with the result — and most importantly, so is he!

We absolutely love watching our puppy package dogs grow up confident enough to try something a little different and have fun with grooming along the way

Just a little reminder for all our lovely customers that we have some upcoming time away booked over the next couple of months, which means appointments are becoming very limited

💚 Casey away: 19th–25th May
💚 Jessica away: 18th June–6th July

Because of this, the salon is incredibly busy and availability over the next two months is now quite slim. If your pup is due in soon, please make sure to book ahead to avoid disappointment
