From fearful to fearless ❤

Meet Barny. A wonderful reminder of what patience, trust and teamwork can achieve. When he first joined our We Love Pets Chorley branch, walks could feel a little overwhelming, so we took things slow with calm, on-lead adventures to help him feel safe and supported.

With time, gentle encouragement and his lovely owner’s dedication, Barny’s confidence blossomed. These days he enjoys his walks off-lead, happily greeting new friends along the way 🐾

We’re so proud of transformations like this. Every dog deserves to feel safe, understood and to truly enjoy their walks and we’ll always work at their pace to make that happen 🐶😍

🎃🐾 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗹-𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻! 🐾🎃

Spooky season is lots of fun for us, but it can be a little overwhelming for our pets. Here are a few simple ways to keep your pets safe and happy this Halloween:

👻 𝗕𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗼𝗿-𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 – it’s easy for curious fast legged pets to slip out.
🍬 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀❟ 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲❟ 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 – they can be toxic to pets.
😨 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘆 – reassure your pet and give them a calm, safe space.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼! 🤩🏆

When Romeo first joined our We Love Pets Bridgend family, walks were a bit of a challenge. There was lots of reactivity towards dogs and cars meaning that his walking kit included a harness, collar and a head collar for extra control.

But with time, patience, and plenty of positive training from his walker and our branch owner, Romeo’s made incredible progress 🐾❤

These days, he strolls out confidently on just a slip lead! He’s more relaxed, takes treats happily, and keeps his eyes on his walkers instead of the world around him.

It’s been a slow and steady journey, but seeing Romeo grow into a calmer, happier dog has been such a joy. Well done, Romeo — and a huge shoutout to the Bridgend team for their dedication and care! 👏🐶

Meet October's Pawffice Pets! 🐾🌟

Say hello to Pippa & Peggy, the adorable Dachshund duo belonging to Megan, our PA to the Directors, and her partner Calum. 💛

This inseparable mother and daughter pair love nothing more than a long beach walk, a game of chase with their beloved tennis ball, and a cosy cuddle, either on a lap or snuggled up together in their favourite bed. 🏖️🎾

Pippa and Peggy are naturals with children and absolutely adore spending time with the younger members of the family, especially when there’s a game of hide-and-seek involved!

Best friends, beach explorers, and cuddle champions. They’re not just pets, they’re family. 🥰

💡 Did you know we don’t just care for cats, dogs, and bunnies? Sometimes we get very niche requests… like Trapjaw ants! 🐜

Our Horsham team recently had the pleasure of caring for a colony while their young owner was on holiday. Twice a week they popped in to top up their water and serve up their dinner of live mealworms and crickets.

Fun facts:
Trapjaw ants are three times the size of regular garden ants, they are not native to the UK, and (thankfully!) have a very low escape rating.

This month, we’re so proud to support 𝗢𝗮𝗸 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀' 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, a wonderful organisation providing a safe haven for cats, dogs, and equines in need. 🐾

Every year, Oak Tree gives hundreds of animals a second chance. Rehabilitating them, finding loving new homes, and helping owners build strong, lasting bonds with their pets. Their dedication to animal welfare and education makes such a huge difference in the community. 🐶🐱🐴
