We’ve had a black entire male cat handed into the practice today that was found in Inverurie. He sadly has no microchip so we are unable to identify his owner. If you believe he may be yours please contact us at 01467621429.

🐾Over the month of May we have been celebrating "Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month" (VNAM).🐾

Here at Donview we are proud to have a team of qualified nurses, who are supported by our Veterinary Care and Kennel Assistants!

Our nurses have gone through extensive training to become qualified registered nurses, with many having gone on to pursue further qualifications and certificates.

Our nurses are often found working behind the scenes looking after your pets. They are the ones who are performing regular clinical checks, administering medications, nutritional support, wound checks and all the cuddles!

No day is the same for our nurses, they are trained in anaesthesia and monitor your pet under anaesthetic; they are surgical prep nurses preparing sites for surgery and scrubbing into operations to assist our vets; they perform dental charting, scaling and polishing and take dental x-rays; they are phlebotomists placing IV catheters and taking blood samples; filling prescriptions; training students; cleaning and maintaining surgical kits; offering a range of nurse consultations; taking radiographs and performing laboratory tests.

We couldn't run here at Donview without our fantastic nursing team. We are so proud of each and every one of them and are so grateful for all their hard work!

Haribo was in visiting us at Donview today for some blood tests! It was his birthday so we made sure to celebrate in style with him! 🎉🩷🥰🎂

Another reminder for attending the practice tomorrow if you have an emergency.

There are a few members of the Donview staff taking part in the race! Good luck to everyone taking part.

On Sunday 10th May Run Garioch will be taking place. During this time there will be road closures meaning the access to the practice will be limited. The organisers of Run Garioch have put a plan in place for emergencies and the on call vet to gain access to the practice during the road closures so please see this below:

- Vet/Client to enter route area via the round about at the top of North Street onto Burghmuir Drive heading towards the entrance at Burghmuir Circle.

- Put your hazard lights on upon arrival and make the marshal aware of why you are attending the vet practice and they will allow you through

Reminder that the road to the practice will be closed on Sunday 10th May due to Run Garioch taking place. Please follow the instructions if you are attending the practice for an emergency.

**FOUND**

We have unfortunately had a cat handed into the practice following a fatal road traffic accident. Entire male who is fully black and does not have a microchip or collar. He was found in a driveway between Oldmeldrum and Inverurie. If you think he may be your cat please contact the practice on 01467621429.

Teddy was in for his first Donview visit and we all fell in love! 🥰. He was super brave for his vaccine and we can't wait to watch him grow up!
