🐾Freddie is a lively 2 year old boy who has been recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia.

With the help of his dedicated owners, he was placed on a carefully managed weight loss diet to help ease the pressure on his joints and improve his mobility.

Thanks to their hard work and commitment, Freddie has now lost an incredible 7.9kgs!! This amazing achievement has not only made a big difference to his comfort and quality of life, but it's also a huge step forward in managing his condition long-term.

Go Freddie!!! 🐾

Heatstroke

With the summer months heating up and enjoying the sunshine, it’s important that we keep an eye on our fluffy, four-legged friends to ensure they don’t overheat and lead to heatstroke.🔥

Heatstroke can be fatal and requires urgent veterinary attention if not recognised early enough, so knowing the signs can save a life! 🆘

Signs of Heatstroke:
❗️Heavy panting or drooling
❗️Weakness, lethargy or confusion
❗️Vomiting or diarrhoea
❗️Increased heart and breathing rate
❗️Unconsciousness
❗️Collapse

Remember to:
✅ Always provide your pet with a shaded area and cool drinking water🏖️
✅ Never leave your dog in the car during warm weather🚘
✅ Always supervise your pet in warmer weather, especially short-faced, overweight and thick-coated breeds🐩

I think my pet has heatstroke, what do I do?
1. Move your pet into the shade as soon as possible☂️
2. Offer them water💧
3. Use the saying: Wet then Vet!🩺 Pour tap water over their body, focusing on their body, not their face, as this will compromise their breathing
4. Call your vet ASAP 📲
