Keeping an 11-month-old puppy calm, rested and mentally stimulated after major abdominal surgery, when she thinks she can just carry on as normal, is NOT for the faint-hearted 🤣🙈

Poor Winnie had to have surgery on Wednesday after being diagnosed with pyometra. Honestly, I only even knew what pyometra was because of Clarkson’s Farm 😂 so when I spotted the signs after she’d had her season, I was praying it was just a UTI…

Nope. Definitely pyometra, and straight into surgery! 🥹💔

Thankfully, her surgery went really well and she has bounced back amazingly. Maybe a little too amazingly, because she’s already trying to run riot with her sister Oreo again 🙈😂

Now comes the hard part — convincing an energetic 11-month-old that she absolutely cannot go back to her usual crazy puppy life just yet! 🤣

She’s doing so well though, and we’re just so grateful we spotted the signs and got her treated quickly ❤️🐾

Here’s to lots of rest, cuddles, enrichment and keeping this little whirlwind entertained while she heals! 🥰
