Exclusive heads up.

We will be advertising to the mass public tomorrow but wanted to give those following the page a head start.

On the 28th Jan I have secured Anthony Briggs to come and deliver 2 Introduction sessions in Mantrailing. - will take place in the Inverurie area.

In a nutshell Mantrailing uses your dogs sense of smell to help locate a person, normally using an item with the persons scent on it. The beauty of this activity is that it is incredibly inclusive. There are no min or max ages, any breed can do it and its PERFECT for reactive dogs.

Tony is not only an experienced operational search dog handler, who has worked in a number of different countries and environments, but also a fantastic Certified Instructor and Trainer. He's that good on the rare occasion I have time off that's who I choose to spend it with working my own dog (sorry Nikki).

Two sessions will be available, 9:00 and 12:30, and numbers are strictly limited.

We have had lots of owners contact us with 'slightly older' (7+ Months) dogs, who missed out on puppy classes.

New Blog Post

I have finally convinced 'Mrs Alex' to write a blog post. She's a great writer and much more interesting than I am 🙂

I asked her to talk about what its like living with a dog who is hard work. I didn't want a post all about thresholds and reward cascades. What I think people need to hear is that their problems are really difficult and at times you are going to wonder what you are doing.

What I hoped was that this post would help to reassure people that you are not alone, and even as a professional, it doesn't make the mountain any easier to climb (especially not for those who I have dragged along for the ride).

**CAVEAT** As you read my unfiltered thoughts, you might wonder if we actually like Buck the dog or if you should maybe come and rescue him.
