Hi, I’m Gemma – a reliable, trustworthy, and animal-loving professional based in Huddersfield. After proudly serving nearly 22 years with West Yorkshire Police, most recently as a detective, I made the life-changing decision in March 2025 to follow my true passion: worki

ng with animals. While leaving the security of a long-standing career was daunting, I haven’t looked back. My love for animals has been a constant throughout my life, and I’m now living my dream as a dedicated dog walker and pet care provider. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well-being are my top priorities. I offer meet and greets to ensure both you and your furry friend feel comfortable before we start any services. Every animal in my care is treated as if they were my own—with love, attention, and plenty of fun! I hold a current Level 3 Canine First Aid (iPet) certificate and a BTEC National Diploma in Animal Care, which I completed after leaving secondary school—proof that my passion for animals has been with me from the very beginning. I also have a clear DBS certificate and hold full business insurance, giving you complete peace of mind. Outside of pet care, I volunteer with the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team in Marsden. This role allows me to continue helping people in need, often in collaboration with emergency services across rural West Yorkshire. I had a great time looking after Bailey and Sprocket while their hooman parents went away. It's always an honour to be trusted with the fur babies.
We had some interesting moments with the seasonal sticky balls and seeds, but they survived the post walk brushing and plucking. 😆
