Well that's a wrap to 2025 as my last festive holiday clients went home this morning. It's been a very busy one starting 1st December. I'm very lucky to have both lovely owners and their dogs. I really appreciate their trust in me and using my service - thank you so much 🤗

So what do I do with my first day off in what seems like ages? - think I've had about a dozen since last Easter - I spend it deep cleaning, sanitising all surfaces and hot washing all bedding turning it into a laundry to be ready for my next clients. I am so looking forward to seeing return clients come back this year ☺️

I'm going to take a couple of weeks off and would like to take the opportunity of wishing all my clients, friends and family a Happy, healthy 2026 😘

I cannot believe that 2 years have passed since starting my business. It has been a busy and exciting time and so happy to say that it will continue for the next 3 years after being inspected and achieving 5 star higher standard rating. A massive thank you to all my clients for using and trusting in my services. Also a massive thank you to Duncan and Bob whose help is invaluable.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Easter. I cannot believe that we are almost in the 5th month of this year. Thank you to all my clients for their support post surgery - my new knee is doing good and getting plenty excercise. I've had a busy few weeks over the holidays with dogs staying and enjoying the hotter weather and lighter evenings.

I still have availability for daycare and limited dates for boarding - sorry but I do not take un neutered dogs

I cannot believe it's a year since I got my boarding license and started my business.

I have had the pleasure of looking after some wonderful and amazing pets. I am so grateful to those owners who have put their trust in me to care for their pets whilst they are absent. I hope that they have been able to thoroughly relax knowing their pets are well cared for.

This year has been challenging and rewarding. On reflection of all positives and negatives I am confident this next year will be even more succesful and massively rewarding. My only aim is to ensure all pets are safe, settled and happy.

My outdoor space of hardstanding to woodland to paddock is now all connected and secure.

Just a little update for anyone looking for daycare and homeboarding for their dogs as I haven't posted in a while.

It has been a very busy but wonderfull time since starting my business last September. The uptake and client referral has been amazing and very much appreciated. So much so I only have limited availabilty for boarding in August during the school holidays. A massive thank you to all who have used my service and trusted me with their dogs. 🥰

Thunder Bridge Dogs is very much a work in progress but very quickly taking shape. I have been working hard to clear and create an enclosed connecting woodland space between the immediate hardcore run to the enclosed grass paddock via cattlecross gates. This shaded space is going to be invaluble during the hot weather for dogs to play, sniff and chill out.

So saddened to wake up to my first review and it being negative in that said reviewer would not recommend my business -and from someone I have not met, offered or provided any service for - I am gutted. I have worked so hard to be where I am.

It is extremely hard to establish a new business and does rely very much on word of mouth and recommendation of satisfied clients. Unsatissfied clients can have a massive impact. It's tough out there - please be kind.

However on reflection and taking the positives (and after a cup of tea) it has only reinforced to me that I am right in following MY secured procedures to ensure a safe and happy environment for all dogs in my care and I will not compromise that for anyone.

I ask anyone looking for dog daycare or homeboarding to please take time to read my response to the review as I again reiterrate my procedure for taking bookings for boarding dogs from multiple households. It is a lenghthy process and does requires client input and with their dogs and it has to be done right. It doesn't suit everyone but I will not change it.

Please do not worry about my cat. She is a very old lady who used to live ferral until she adopted us. She is never to be seen when dogs are here - she is very savvy and aloof. She snuck in whilst it is quiet and found a comfy spot in the sun
