Let’s talk about Malinois, especially the younger ones……😈💥
My youngest dog is Frenzy, she is 11 months old and fire 🔥
It’s important for me to start by saying that I adore this dog, she’s everything I hoped for and definitely more 😎
But let me be realistic, she’s a lot 💪🏻 😂 now in many ways, for example settling in her crate, travelling in the van, handling and many other things she’s a very good girl and I genuinely couldn’t ask for better but in (probably) all young Malis there are things that are a little harder such as keeping still, social interactions (Frenzy wants to smash her human friends with forceful cuddles) and arousal in environments to name a few
Frenzy is bold and confident so environmentally she’s great, she does have a big need to move, at home and out and about that absolutely includes free time running and exploring not just training. She spends a lot of time being airborne as you can see in the photos 🤦🏻♀️
My role as her human is to fulfill her, she’s my dog and I made a commitment to her (as I do to all my dogs) that I’d give her the biggest life I can, and that’s what we do 🥳
My job is also to understand her, and to respect and appreciate her for who she is, what her genetics bring, and not what I think she should be, and that’s a fast, full on, very physical and smashy very happy dog 😍
I’m writing this because I know there will be people in the same place with their dog who might be struggling and finding it hard, and I want to put it out there that we all go through it 😂
This is however the place where connection can definitely be frayed or broken, because it can get tough, my accept and respect course is built for this time in your partnership 🤩
