Well that’s a wrap on another successful pony camp! We would like to say a massive thank you to all our attendees, we hope you have had an amazing time. We also have to say a big thank you to everyone that has helped organise and run camp this year, we truly can’t manage without our wonderful volunteers. Our fantastic instructors Jane and Laura have once again got the very best out of their students. The biggest thank you of all goes to our fabulous horses and ponies who have given their all over the last 3 days 😊🐴💕

Dear motorists and non-horse people! Please don’t pull into the “big gap” in front of a horse trailer. That space isn’t for slow driving, it’s our braking distance. If you cut us off and stop suddenly, we can’t stop in time. Inside the trailer, our horses need us to drive gently, especially around curves, so they can stay balanced. A sudden jerk can cause serious injury or even flip the whole trailer.

Look at this photo: the mare barely has room to steady herself. Her foal stands right beneath her. She knows a misstep could hurt her baby, so she stays as still as she can. I can only help her if I’m allowed to drive with care. Please think twice. Most people don’t mean harm, they just don’t know. So let’s spread this message out and change that.

FINAL REMINDER:

There are still available spaces in our lychgate show day tomorrow, see classes below:

-Best Turned Out -(10:00am)
-Working Hunter -(11:30am)
-Handy Pony -(12:15pm)
-Ride And Run Showjumping (1:00pm)
-Fancy Dress (2:00pm)

Alongside this we will be running dog classes from 12pm so feel free to bring your dogs down and join our classes🐶🐾

Thank you to all our riders who have still come to ride in the warm weather! ☀️
It's been water fights down at Lychgate Farm keeping horses and riders cool whilst having fun! 🐴
Naturally the soggy riders today had to get their revenge on Jane 😆
We hope you all have a fantastic week and can't wait to see you all after the holiday 🏇

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Lindsey for her outstanding dedication and commitment over the past 13 years, running the Pony Club on behalf of Lychgate Farm Equestrian.
Her passion for horse care and enthusiastic students her unwavering patience, and her tireless work behind the scenes have left a lasting impact on everyone who has passed through the Pony Club. Through rain or shine, she has been a constant source of encouragement, knowledge, and care—not only for the ponies, but also for the many children and families who have come to love and respect her.
We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Holly, who has been a wonderful support alongside Lindsey, for the past 5 years. Lindsey and Holly have truly been the heart of this program, creating an environment where young students can thrive.
Lindsey and Holly at Lychgate Farm Equestrian. Reflect a deep love for equestrianism and a genuine desire to pass that on to the next generation. We are truly grateful for everything Lindsey has done, and she will always be a treasured with Holly as part of the Lychgate Farm Equestrian family.
