Following our recent post about fitting second-hand saddles, we want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who took the time to read and respond, whether in the comments or in private messages.
We’ve listened carefully, and we completely understand that every rider’s situation is different. Our intention was to explain the challenges we face as Saddle Fitters and why it can be difficult when the use of our demo saddles are used to then source a second-hand saddle without any contribution to the cost of that service.
That said, your feedback has prompted us to look for a fairer and more transparent solution for all.
✨ Going forward, we will be offering demo saddle appointments at a higher fee to better reflect the time, expertise, and wear-and-tear involved in bringing out our demo stock. This fee ensures the appointment remains a valuable and professional service, whether or not a saddle is purchased directly from us.
We hope this gives clients the freedom to explore their options, while also respecting the investment we make in carrying and maintaining a high-quality demo range.
We’re always working to balance sustainability as a small business with doing what’s right for horses and riders. Thanks again for your continued support and for helping us shape a service that works for everyone.
