Gertie has now SOLD ⭐️

She flew through her 5 stage vetting today!

I am absolutely made up for the home Gertie is going to. She truly deserves it. She is honestly the kindest, most genuine, THE MOST FUN horse that I have ever ridden, worked with, produced. She honestly just gave me the biggest smile everytime I sat in the saddle and that to me is invaluable. I am going to cry ALOT of tears when she leaves as she really does hold a special place in my heart 😢❤️

For sale

Shelly, 15.3hh, 17 year old, tb, mare.

Was raced and was apparently solid under saddle. Racing name is Fairy Alisha. Has bred 2 foals. We rehomed her with us as was in a poor condition and the person couldn’t afford to keep her anymore. She is looking healthy, feeling healthy and will make someone a lovely little horse. She has been super useful as a companion horse for us as is a very easy, friendly field buddy. Currently barefoot and easy to trim. Will need re backing if you want her for a ridden horse so please don’t ask me for ridden videos when enquiring. She is being sold well handled from the field.

Very low 3 figures. Starting with a 4.

Based Herefordshire.

Now I am not one to speak negatively about people who come and view my horses. HOWEVER…. Due to an enormous amount of timewasters/joy riders…. And yes I do know if your going to be wasting mine/the horses time as soon as you step on my yard/start asking questions. The most genuine, kind hearted horse I have ever come across…. Who genuinely only wants to please. She really doesn’t deserve having her time wasted.

She is an absolute jumping machine…. Going off any stride, she honestly never says no! She will make someone an absolutely fantastic little horse…. She is so much fun. I can go hacking in the woodland for hours on end and know I’m going to be safe and sound.

Gertie ☘️

15.1hh, 6 year old, Irish Cob, Black, Mare.

Gertie is THE best little horse to ever exist. THE END.

No but seriously…. If you’re looking for a very smart, sporty, well put together, 3 absolutely wonderful paces, safe in open spaces, lovely temperament, jumping machine, Gertie is the one. She really is that wonderful and will bring her new owner so much fun. She is a little power pack and would make the perfect ladies little hunt horse. She is absolutely mega in open spaces and would jump her heart out for you over the boldest of country. Likewise, she would make someone a lovely event type, PC, showjump, dressage, showing. The list is endless, she is very smart and loves having a job.

Great to do in all ways. No vices. Up to date on everything.

The only little quirk Gertie has is she can sometimes be unsure on fast approaching traffic. We have a main road we hack up and we have hacked her alone and in company. She isn’t spooky in any other way.

Pat ✉️

16.2hh, 10 year old, Dark Bay, TB, mare.

A very gentle soul….

Pat is ROR eligible, she was raced twice over fences and came last both times so was retired from racing vice and injury free✌️ Luckily for her she is super elegant, a very smart stamp, so will make someone a wonderful horse in a new ridden career. Since being with me I have put a lot of condition on her, had her on the long lines, lunging, had tack on her and she is now up to date with everything. She is fully kitted out ready for someone to re introduce her to her ridden work. She is the easiest, kindest horse to handle in every single way. Very sweet in the stable with no stables vices.

Low four figures 🥕🥕🥕🥕 if I start her ridden work then her price will increase the more she does.

Tommy 🧸

16.1hh, 9 years old, Irish Sports Horse, Chestnut, Gelding.

Slow and steady wins the race….

Tommy is a real life big cuddly teddy bear who loves attention. If your looking for a horse that you can hack down the M5 then this chap is it. I really do believe a helicopter could land next to him and he wouldn’t bat an eyelid. He is a kick along. He is easy to handle and fits into any routine. Would be happy living in or out. He has been arena hires (where let me tell you he behaves impeccably) XC schooling, showjumped. He absolutely loves to jump and is established in all 3 paces.

Good to do in all ways and up to date with everything. No vices.

Now onto the important bit - Tommy is in no way suited to a complete Novice if your wanting anything more than a happy, slow & steady hacking horse, especially no child/young teenager, as he is the type of horse who knows what rider he has on his back. He does have a habit when jumping to squeal, buck and drop his shoulder when he gets excited. This is only when your cantering. He hasn’t done it with us more than three times, as he knows we are competent and have core stability. It isn’t a sharp quirk, if you are able to push him forwards and sit up then you really won’t find it an issue.

AWARENESS - HORSES❗️| Please be mindful of horses and their riders when driving on the roads this Spring / Summer. 🐎

With the weather improving and with lighter evenings, you may encounter more people riding horses on our local roads.

🔹Please share this advice to make more motorists aware.🔹

🐎 To avoid any issues, when you spot a horse on or near a road, you should:

🔹Slow down to a maximum of 10mph

🔹Be patient, don’t sound your horn or rev your engine

🔹Pass the horse wide and slow – at least two metres

🔹Drive slowly away

🐎 Other things you can do are:

🔹Be prepared to stop if necessary

🔹Look out for hand signals – stop or slow down if asked – this is for your own safety as it is others

🔹If a rider or carriage driver is signalling to turn, wait patiently for them to complete their manoeuvre before continuing your journey

🔹If you think the horse looks nervous – they may be stopped, look tense, “jogging” or moving sideways – please stop, turn off your engine and allow the horse to pass you. Please don’t start your engine or move off again until the horse is well clear of the rear end of the vehicle

🔹If passing a horse from behind - heed the rider, handler or carriage driver’s signal. Only pass if safe to do so. If the horse looks nervous or the person in control of the horse is having difficulty - leave plenty of space between you and the horse and wait patiently for the horse to be under control, or for them to pull over to a safe place to pass

🔹If a road is narrow and there is not enough room to pass safely as if passing another car, please approach slowly, or stop, and allow the equestrian to find a safe place off the road where you can pass safely

🔹It may not always be possible for a rider or carriage driver to pull into a safe passing space. If you meet a horse head on, it can be easier for the driver to reverse to a safe passing space. If you are behind a horse, please wait patiently until there is a safe place to pass

🔹Please be patient. Most equestrians will do their best to reassure their horses and will allow you to pass as soon as safe to do so

🔹The safest place for the rider’s hands is on the reins, so they may only be able to nod their head as thanks to you –please be assured they are very grateful for your consideration

🔹Look out for equestrian road signs – these signs indicate you are likely to encounter a horse on your journey

Feral or semi-feral ponies found in areas such as the New Forest, Exmoor and Dartmoor require the same consideration as ridden horses when approaching or passing.
