What a day! Im not sure yesterday can be topped!

We had the most fun day at British Showjumping National Champs. From the moment we drove in everyone was so friendly, helpful and couldn’t of been more welcoming 🥰 and we even got a rosette for just turning up 🥳

We both had a good warm up round - Pad jumped a double clear for 4th and I had 4 faults for 6th 🎉

Then the RoR Club 90cm Champs

Both boys were fab over a championship track that was tricky enough to ride. Unfortunately we still didn’t get that elusive clear at 90cm but we did manage the only 4 faults to take the win 🎉🎉🎉

It was a champs I had always wanted to get to on Vic but we never did so it was lovely to get there with Cabs and Bee.

It must of been a good Oman as well as it was 3 years ago to the day I won the BRC champs on Mulan and Bee and Cabby both had a championship rug on after there bath that morning 🥰 and I had plaited as I thought people looked scruffy in the winners pictures 🤣🤣

So lovely to catch up with the extended RoR family and make some more friends. Thank you so much Hesteyri Horses for being the best cheerleader and photographers, Nigel Eckley for being chief horse holder and videographer for the day and Fi Boughton for the best birthday gift 🤩🤩

Forget grateful for the support from Jackie Hancock Photography and Dressage TestPro

A mixed day at Moores today 🙈🙈

Fastest 4 faults in the 80cm for 2nd 🥈 He was on springs and jumped super 🥰

Next up the 90cm - the less said about that the better 🤣🤣 He did jump really well - but the combination of a bit too much speed and a new feeling of him towing me around, and me just sitting there! Resulted in a few too many poles but onwards to Thursday with some quick tweaks 🤞🤞

We may not of gone jumping but we had a wonderful long hack instead.

We hack a lot but it always nice to go different places and explore the local area.

Some clips of our test from last weekend.

We were supposed to be jumping today but see my story 🤣 So we will try again next weekend and then off to BS national champs on 6th 😳

All the smiles in the Prelim, all the frustration in the Novice 😭

A super day yesterday at Welsh regionals. So lovely to catch up with old friends and make some new ones 🤩

He warmed up fantastically for the Prelim and went in and did a cracking test, the odd “blip” but a solid test gaining 2nd and 67%

Quite a long wait until our novice and plenty of time to learn our test - He warmed up well again and just before I went in I asked another competitor which marker we trotted to after the 10m circle - que panic as she said it was 15m circle! Any way, it was a 10m circle and definitely Novice 6 but think it flustered me a bit more than I through as instead of going up the centre line and doing the square 3 loop serpentine i went and rode a 10m circle 🤣😭 Any way pulled it together and got through the rest of the test but it definitely highlighted both of our weaknesses - including give and re take in canter is not our best movement and the fact I can’t ride a 15m circle 🤦‍♀️ Even with this we scored 65% and qualified (again)

Im disappointed with our Novice score but it’s definitely the kick up the bum we need for Aintree!

Gallops tomorrow 🎉, Chiropractor Wednesday 💆‍♀️ and then back to the coloured ones on Saturday for some clear round jumping 🤩

Stay away shows - top tips?

I’ve done Aintree for many years but any top tips to make life easier for a week away?

I think a new investment for this year will be a camping trolly?

Developing the trot In our first flat session

Under the watchful eye of .blane55

Enjoying our AE session with . Our aim of this sessions was to have fun 🤩

We had started with smaller jumps and worked up to the bigger ones and doing some skinnies and angles

Day 2 and back for some more flatwork with William

Woking on hind leg engagement with the help of transitions

Showjumping with John Rogers - working on jumping out of trot to work over their backs and realise we don’t need speed to jump 🦄

All working to achieve this sort of jump

Final session was Grid Work with Jon - carrying on the themes from our SJ lesson with some great improvement

Camp crew 2026

Hard work at camp 🤣

Cabby’s down time

And evening demo from

First thing - I need to look up more - yes, Cabs is pretty but so is looking where your going 🤣🤣

We were really working on keeping his hind legs under him in the trot and canter with the transitions, leg yielding and the obvious- using my corners and finishing exercises off 🙈

Also keeping the power up in the corners which is something that translates to the jumping as well.

We probably also nailed out best canter to walk 🎉

I can’t wait to get back to our lessons after holiday and keep working on this and having him more off my leg as no one likes a nag!

We won’t be ready for a Elementary until after Aintree but I can’t wait for the next step up and I’ll keep using to pick bits from the Elementary tests to work on until then as well as prepping for our championship tests
