Stormy's kittens haven't yet been named because we can’t tell them apart! Got any classic black cat name ideas…?

Mum Stormy and her five kittens came into the care of our team at Central Norfolk Cat Centre after Stormy and another cat in their home both gave birth to a litter last month, placing the owners under an unexpected financial burden of caring for nine cats. But our team were there to help.

When we started National Black Cat Day in 2010, black and black-and-white cats took, on average, a week longer to rehome than cats of other colours. But now it's down to an average of just two days longer! 🐾

Don’t forget the clocks go back this Sunday! 🌙

It means an extra hour in bed, but the evenings drawing in earlier.

Cats are more active at dawn and dusk, and for a few reasons, we recommend keeping them in when it’s dark. This can reduce hunting and the chances of fights with other cats, but also reduce the risk of road traffic accidents at night.

From street cat to a pampered lad! 💜

Roger was found living as a stray, and thankfully, someone spotted that he was really struggling. Once with our team at Wolverhampton Cats Protection, he was straight to the vets. It was revealed his increasingly thin state was a result of untreated dental disease, which had been making eating painful. After having eight teeth removed and a thorough scale and polish, Roger was also neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Once with his fosterer, this cat, who had been living such a difficult life, finally got to enjoy home comforts and love. He is a big fan of head bumps and lounging in a sunbeam. Now all he needs is the right forever home!
