Renovating and maintaining the Bunny Shed is actually something I really enjoy πΈπ°π‘
The PVC windows with open/close functions make ventilation and temperature control easy, the lino flooring helps keep the shed floor clean and tidy and is very simple to sweep and mop and the walls are insulated and painted with bunny safe paint π°π€π»
The IKEA Hol has been upcycled to allow the buns access and is filled with straw for a cosy / bunny burrow area πΎ
The pink 'sandpit' is full of high quality hay to provide a foraging space. I sprinkle forage, herbs and treats in the hay to encourage natural digging and foraging behaviours for enrichment πΏ
Piglet and Bernie have cosy areas to protect their feet from sore hocks. Rugs, blankets and bath mats are ideal for this! Just make sure you wash weekly in a pet laundry bag (link in bio) π©·
I grow Lavender in the Bunny Shed as a natural fly deterrent and I do allow resident spiders to do the hard work keeping those pesky fly strike spreaders out! Spiders are friends for bunnies... πΈ
And of course, the Bunny Shed wouldn't be complete without cosy decor from ~ How cute is the farm bunting? And I love that Sophie has also got Silkies and Cockers! Now she just needs bunnies π
