Meet Bruno the Dogue de Bordeaux (French Mastiff)

This absolute stunner popped in for a very quick visit today on the way home from the vets!

As expected, he made a beeline straight for the Natural Treat Room… and straight into the baskets to choose all of his favourites! After being poked and prodded, we think he’d more than earned a little shopping spree especially on a hot day like today!

It’s an absolute privilege to help so many of you care for your animals, but there’s something especially magical about seeing young people excited about wildlife and nature. Hearing that these froglets have found a new home, and that two children are enjoying watching their journey from tadpole to frog, genuinely made our morning.

At least some of us are enjoying the heat ☀️

This beautiful little Crested Gecko (Correlophus ciliatus) is coming to stay with me for a few weeks!
I absolutely adore this species, and it was actually one of the first reptiles I successfully bred when I was younger.

Fun fact: Crested Geckos were thought to be extinct until they were rediscovered in New Caledonia in 1994! They also have incredible sticky toe pads that allow them to climb smooth surfaces with ease.
