Wow it’s been so busy over here at Rocketstars
We have been helping out our lovely Izzy covering some of .dogwalking pups while she enjoys a break 🐾🐾

New course added September 6th 🐾🐾

Our Puppy/Beginner class is perfect for dogs of any age who are new to their training journey.

During the course we cover Recall, loose lead walking, appropriate play/greeting, jumping up, puppy biting, enrichment and much more!

All of our classes are held at Freyas Meadow Secure dog Field, Harlow, CM20 3SD

This course is made up of 6 sessions

Access to private Facebook community for on-going support, Rocketstars certificate and rosette at end of course to share achievements!

🩵 Scatter Feeding 🩵

Dogs generally take great pleasure in eating. Scatter feeding is a way to elongate your dog’s meal times
by scattering their food over a wide area such as around your garden or house and provide mental
stimulation at the same time.
Scatter feeding has many Benefits
• It slows down feeding for dogs that guzzle their meals.
• As a low arousal activity it can calm highly strung or stressed dogs.
• It engages your dog’s brain and helps teach them to focus for longer periods of time.
• It engages their sense of smell. They will have to rely on their nose to sniff out individual piece of
kibble in the lawn.
• It is relaxing for dogs. Sniffing actually lowers the heart rate.
• Scatter feeding engages the brain and provides mental stimulation

Teaching a trick is a great activity to do while the weather is too hot to go out 🐾🐾




Teaching your dog to perform tricks is a great way of bonding; super fun as well as an opportunity to
show off to all your friends how clever your dog is.

This hot weather is a great time to play the Muffin tin game 🐾🐾

🩵 There is a fine balance between motivating your dog with what they want and want over excites them
or demotivates them. :
Have you worked out what your dog actually enjoys? Sometimes we forget to test and just use what we
think they want. The muffin tin game is great for this !

Wow it’s still so hot 🥵 🐾🐾

Some great things to do with your pups instead to use there brains and energy

🩵 bobbing for treats if you pups aren’t keen on water you can try a shallow tray with water

🩵scatter feed dinner or treats in a shaded part of garden

🩵 hide treats/dinner in boxes, snuffle mats , egg box’s plastic milk bottles , kitchen roll tube

🩵 fill a kong and pop in freezer

🩵 learn a new trick in shade or indoors

🩵 hide toys or treats send pup to find them

Poor little Benson had his first vets visit today ☹️

We have been working on building his trust with us we have using reward based and consent training

He shook all the way to vets in carry case ( we now will work on this ) last time he was in case was when we picked him up and brought him home

He went for a good check up , he did really well considering but sadly he has an infection only boys can get 🤦🏻‍♀️ bless him good job we took him

Now antibiotics for a week and recheck next week
