We passionately believe that every pet deserves a loving forever home. Over the years, we are proud to have worked alongside rescue, and rehoming organisations across the country who strive to help pets in need find their forever loving homes. In 2021, we broadened our objectives, allowing us to support charities that work alongside pets and the people who love them. We will strive to work alongsi

de like-minded partners to help those people who benefit either through the addition of a pet or through time spent with them.

This Sunday, we’re cheering on our incredible team taking part in the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run 👏

Among our runners is Nathan, who’s already gone above and beyond in support of the Foundation, hosting a bake sale outside his store and raising over £400 🙌
How amazing do those cakes look? 🍰

“I've had a passion for running for the last 3 years and it's a big part of my life, as it's something I really enjoy doing. I've also worked for Pets for 14 years and always admire how committed the business is with all our charitable work, especially with the Pets Foundation. I'd love to be able to raise money for an amazing charity, whilst doing something I love, which is why I decided to sign up for the Manchester Great Run.”

We’re so proud of Nathan and all our runners 💪

If you can, please cheer them on with a donation 👏 Every pound makes a difference for pets in need 💚

A second chance for Lady 🐾

When Lady arrived at Hector's House Cat Rescue with her 14-day-old kittens, she was in severe pain from mastitis and unable to feed them properly. She needed urgent care, and her kittens needed support to survive.

Thanks to our grant funding for new cat pens, Hector’s House could give Lady a safe, warm and controlled space to recover, while the dedicated team provided round-the-clock care for both her and her kittens. 🙌

With treatment, time and compassion, Lady made a full recovery. Today, she’s thriving in her forever home – and every one of her kittens has found a loving home too. 😻

Japanese Akita Welfare Trust received a grant of £6,654 to support essential medical care and long-term boarding costs 🐾

These funds are helping dogs like Leo — a beautiful white Akita and the Trust’s longest-term resident. Finding the right home for a large breed with specific needs can take time… sometimes years.

This funding means Leo can remain in the safe, familiar surroundings without the stress of being moved between different homes. It also gives the team the time they need to find the right adopter who truly understands the Akita temperament.

The charity said, “We don’t have to rush his adoption process; we can wait for the perfect owner.”

Supporting stability, care, and second chances 💚

Nellie and Bryn have been practising their ‘paw’ skills this week—and we think they’ve nailed it 🐾💚

With a little encouragement, both dogs were more than happy to show off their manners… although we can’t confirm whether Emma may or may not have had a treat in hand 👀🤭

Safe to say we’re a little bit obsessed… who could say no to that?

Patrick and Dottie. Two lives, changed forever.

With support from our grant, Service Dogs UK has partnered and trained four veteran–dog partnerships to become ADI-accredited assistance dogs.

In the first year alone:

💬 100% of veterans reported improved relationships and renewed motivation
💬 90% experienced fewer panic attacks and improved mood

The charity said:
🗣️ “The grant has positively impacted our ability to train more Veterans and give rescue dogs a second chance in life… giving both a new purpose in life.”

A very special moment for Beth, our Grant Operations Coordinator, who attended a royal reception at Clarence House and met Her Majesty The Queen 👑

We were honoured to be invited by Medical Detection Dogs, a charity we’ve supported through a multi-year grant funding a UTI detection pilot study, to celebrate their incredible work.

During the event, Her Majesty watched Medical Detection Dog Jodie carry out a live detection demonstration, alongside a showcase of the pioneering “electronic nose” technology — developed by Dr Andreas Mershin and RealNose Inc and inspired by the incredible scent-detection abilities of dogs. The technology is now successfully identifying prostate cancer.

It was amazing to see just how quickly and accurately dogs like Jodie can detect cancer samples, helping to shape innovative technology with the potential to transform diagnosis worldwide.

A truly inspiring day, and a lovely reminder of the difference this kind of work is making every day 💚

3 colleagues. 24 hours. 225 kilometres. No excuses. ⛰️

Huge shoutout to Richard, Dylan and Pavel, who took on the brutal 47-mile Lap of Windermere Ultra — and all made it to the finish line 👏

Blisters? Yes.
Pain? Definitely.
Worth it? 100%.

“It was an amazing day… all 3 of us crossed the finish line (in varying degrees of pain!)” - Richard

They pushed themselves to the limit to help support pets in need 💚

If they can do this… what could you do?
