We understand how difficult it can be finding time to walk and care for our beloved pets, so we treat any animals in our care as if they were our own! I have many years experience in the pet care industry, fully Insured, Disclosure Scotland checked & certificate of animal first aid cover. Our Services:

Dog Walks:

Our dog walks last for a period of one hour - this hour begins from the moment that

we begin our walk - not on collection. We also offer 'individual walks' if you don't think your dog would be suited to a group walk. Doggie Day Care:

Doggie Day Care is a great opportunity to have your dog looked after for the whole day with no worries about rushing home to feed them, let them out etc. Times for day care can be discussed. P*e Stop, Play & Feed:

This 30 minute visit is great for young puppies or older dogs. It lets them get out into the garden to do the toilet, stretch their legs and of course enjoy some TLC!!

🐶🌟 Exciting announcement!! 🌟🐶

I have some super exciting news to share with you… I’ve been asked for a few years now to be a judge at the Haddington show and possibly join the committee to be the dog show convenor however due to holidays and it being the busiest time of the year for us it’s been really hard to attend and fully commit however I felt it was only right with Bark in the Park turning 10 in July that it was the perfect opportunity to take on this role!! 🥳

Haddington show is on Saturday the 28th of June, the dog show will be held in the Gilmerton ring. Entries are done on the day between 12pm and 2pm in the secretary’s tent, it’s £3 per class entry. The Dog show will officially start at 2:30pm. ☀️

The person I’ve chosen this year to help judge is Ross Beveridge who owns Wags and Walkies!! Ross was someone I met very early on in starting the business and has been a great help with giving me advice over the years and I’ll be forever grateful so I can’t wait to team up with him this summer!! 🥰

The dog classes that will be held on the day are:

🌟 Waggiest tail
🌟 Best dog trick
🌟 Best dog of gundog type
🌟 Best Golden oldie (dogs aged 8 and older)
🌟 Junior handler (dogs to be handled by children aged 5-9)
🌟 Junior handler (dogs to be handled by children aged 10-15)
🌟 Dog most like their owner
🌟 Best Rescue dog

🌟 Overall dog champion and judge most likely to take home

Lotte is one of Nala’s puppies so it’s so lovely having her join her mum and siblings on the walks 🥰Lotte was one of the smaller and more timid puppies so she was a little unsure to begin with but it didn’t take her long to come out her shell and run around wild with everyone 🤣 can’t wait to see you again on Friday 💕

We officially have our first addition to Bark in the Park of 2025 and it’s not just one it’s TWO…!!

Let’s welcome these two very handsome chaps Blair and Wallace!! Blair and Wallace joined us on their first walk today and it’s safe to say they had the best day EVER 🤣 They both just slotted right in and have already made lots of new friends that they love to play with and chase. Can’t wait to see you both again tomorrow for more fun and chaos, im sure they’ll both be crashed out on their sofa as we speak 🤣🥰🐾

Well that’s us officially finished up for 2024…

🦠🦠 I have been informed the morning by a local vet that kennel cough is rife in East Lothian at the moment… if your dog is showing any symptoms of coughing, gagging, bringing up white phlegm then please do not send them out with us it’s highly contagious and can spread like wild fire to other dogs in close contact.

This is why it’s so important to get your dog regularly vaccinated to protect them. It is just a form of a doggy cold/chest infection and not usually dangerous however depending on the age and health of your dog it can cause damage and/or take longer for them to recover from. If your dog has symptoms then I ask for your dog(s) to not come on a walk with us for at least 2 weeks.

Kennel cough is airborne but can also be passed to other dogs from toys, food bowls or any shared objects that an infected dog has touched.

If your dog is their usual happy self, eating well and still playful albeit having an annoying cough then they should recover without a vet appointment within atleast 2-4 weeks but always make a vet appointment if you are worried or concerned. 🦠🦠
