Im baaaaack !!! Officially we reopen later this week after the bank Holiday but with the sudden change of temperature we thought it best to reiterate our 'heatwave Information '
Heatwave/summer Information 🔥
Drybrook Dog Groomers WILL remain in Operation unless the temperatures exceeding our safety levels for our canine friends and ourselves. Each session will be with the individual in attendance in mind and their ability to cope with the heat.
This means grooms may take longer.
You may be asked to change your groom time to earlier or later to avoid the hottest part of the day.
We will not be using our hottest dryers, only on 'warm or cool mode' for the safety of your pet, to avoid overheating and stress.
Curly pets that require 'straightening' might not be as straight/the coat may be flatter as this requires a heat dryer but the groom will remain the same.
It is unlikely but some pets may have mildly damp areas such as ear leathers/feet as these areas take a long time to dry completely with a commercial heat dryer.
Please note that some dogs may suffer from an itching sensation post groom, especially in warmer weather, coupled with seasonal allergies. Please think carefully before asking for your pets groom to be taken 'shorter' as this can almost induce a reaction for some. I am able to advise you if you are unsure but I cannot make guarantees. Dogs WILL scratch an itch, scratching creates skin damage.
We do have our usual safety measures in place. We are fortunate that the salon usually remains shaded but we will also be using cooling Fans, secured doors that we can open up for air, water avaliable at all times and resting your pets if needed.
In the event of closure those affected will be rescheduled as a priority case, this will only happen if temperatures are deemed unsafe to work in. Any clients effected will be immediately contacted once the decision is made, these would be last minute decisions based upon the temperatures that day. Please bear in mind that this would be an emergency closure with your pets safety in mind and would have been deemed unavoidable. Every care will be taken to attempt to proceed with your scheduled rooms.
