🐾 Featured Feline Friday: Meet Gandalf! 🐾

This very handsome boy is Gandalf - a super-friendly feline who is absolutely full of love, personality and playfulness. ❤️

Gandalf loves company, and when his sitter arrives, he likes to be involved in everything. Whether we're preparing his food, refreshing his water bowls or checking the litter tray, you can guarantee Gandalf won't be far behind – just in case there's an opportunity for an extra cuddle!

Once the important jobs are done, it's time to play. 🎾 Gandalf loves chasing his toys across the carpet and down the hallway, happily bounding after anything we throw for him.

But his favourite part of a visit? Lap time.

Gandalf adores settling down for a cuddle and isn't shy about letting you know when the ear rubs and tickles have stopped too soon. A gentle nuzzle of your hand usually gets the message across!

Before long, we're left with a very sleepy, very content and very purry Gandalf curled up on our lap... which creates the hardest part of any visit – finding the heart to disturb him when it's time to leave. 🥹

We think you'll agree, Gandalf is a very special boy. 💛

What does a summer cat sit actually look like? ☀️🐱

It's much more than topping up food and scooping a litter tray.

It's keeping routines consistent while you're away. Making sure favourite meals are served just right. Keeping litter areas clean and comfortable. Administering medication when needed. Spending time playing, fussing and getting to know each cat's unique personality.

It's arriving at your home knowing that, for a few days or a few weeks, we're responsible for a very important member of your family.

And it's making sure you can relax on holiday, knowing your cat is safe, happy and cared for in the comfort of their own home.

Featured Feline Friday 🐾

Some stories feel extra special, and Maverick and George's is definitely one of them. ❤️

These handsome brothers first came into Sarah's care at the Cats Protection cattery in September 2025, where they stayed for around a month before finding their forever home locally. Fast forward to today, and Sarah is still lucky enough to be part of their lives, caring for them during their owners' holidays.

Maverick is the confident explorer of the pair. He's always ready for a fuss, loves a good play session and has fully embraced outdoor life... even if that does mean surprising his humans with the occasional "gift"! 🐭

George is a little more reserved, preferring to take his time with new people. But once he feels at ease, he's incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than a cuddle and plenty of gentle attention.

Watching these two grow in confidence and settle into the happy, loving home they deserve has been such a privilege. It's moments like these that remind us why we love what we do. 🥹💛

Featured Feline Friday – Meet Lulu ✨🐾

This week's Featured Feline is the wonderful Lulu — a beautiful black cat with an even bigger personality. 🖤

Lulu is wonderfully chatty, greeting Charlotte with some of the longest, most enthusiastic miaows she's ever heard. She always has plenty to say, making every visit feel like a proper conversation.

One of Lulu's favourite parts of the day is being brushed. She especially loves rubbing her face against the brush, making sure she doesn't miss a single stroke before settling down for plenty of fuss.

Every cat has their own little rituals, and getting to know them is one of the things we love most about in-home cat sitting. By keeping the same sitter and maintaining familiar routines, cats like Lulu can relax, be themselves, and enjoy the things they love most.

We think Lulu's chatty nature and love of a good pamper session make her an unforgettable Featured Feline. 🐱🖤

We're delighted to introduce Charlotte, our newest village sitter covering Sawston, Great Shelford and Little Shelford. 💛

A lifelong animal lover, Charlotte is excited to meet all of the wonderful cats (and their owners!) in her local communities.

As someone who understands just how important routine and familiar surroundings are to cats, she's passionate about providing calm, personalised care while owners are away. Whether it's sticking to feeding schedules, enjoying a play session, offering plenty of cuddles or simply spending quiet time together, Charlotte can't wait to get to know each cat's unique personality.

Our village roots are incredibly important to us, and we're so pleased to continue growing our coverage in these lovely local communities.
