As you may be aware, sadly the new US tariffs imposed by the current administration are due to come into effect from the 29th August, and so I'll be pausing orders (hopefully temporarily 🤞🏻) to the US until I can figure out a way to continue to send them legally, and without having to pass on huge costs to all you lovely customers across the pond.

I just wanted to take the chance to say a massive Thank You to all my loyal and repeat customers in the States, and of course all my brand new ones, for supporting my tiny British business over the past 7 years! I hope to be able to open up to you again VERY soon, so hopefully for now, it's just 'See You Later' rather than Goodbye... 🐾

The heat wave is back so it feels like it's time to share this again!

We know our own dogs, and most of us use common sense when walking them, but this is just a gentle reminder for those with older dogs, thick/double coated dogs and overweight dogs especially ♥️

Also, just give a thought to the temperature of the surface they're walking on 🙂

It's another scorchio day today... A perfect one for the dog to not have its daily walk! A lazy day at home is just what is needed on a day like today.

🌊 The sea is great, yes, but hot sand is a strong NO!
🚣🏻‍♀️ The lake is fab yes, but the hot paved path to get there is a definite NO!

If you can't get to these places without walking on the baking sand or paths beforehand, please just don't go, or go later in the day. Your dog will thank you for it.

Pleaseeeee wait till after the high heat has passed to take your dog out - pavements in the sun retain heat into the afternoon/evening, so we also need to be mindful of that ♥️

☀️ It's been a hot one today and it's another hot one tomorrow! Please, please remember that it's hot for us, but for our furry friends it feels even hotter! ☀️

➡️ Of course everyone knows not to walk in the hot bit of the day etc etc, but have you ever thought about how hot the pavement or the sand is, even early in the day? Or how hot it is just inches from the concrete, where there's often no breeze? Imagine walking on boiling hot pavement, hemmed in by walls or hedges with no air, and then imagine doing that in a fur coat when it's 30⁰+ outside.

It's just not worth it. If you're feeling hot, it's too hot for your dog - just don't risk it, especially if they're very young or elderly.

Your dog will thank you for it ♥️

It always worries me how many dogs are off lead on our coast paths 😔

Stop and think 🤔
It only takes a split second, and it's gone. Take a look at this photo, and then you do it out on a cliff top, etc, and see the difference.

Please keep dogs on a lead on cliff paths as they don’t always see the dangers and will carry on running 🐕🥲.

These two photos were taken at the same time - one is from an adult’s eye line and the other one from a medium-sized dog’s eye line….

Stop and think, keep it on a lead.

🌍 Happy International Rescue Dog Day! 🐶

A quick check of social media tells me it's Rescue Dog Day today, so let's celebrate the brave, loyal, tail-waggers who were once lost — and are now found. Rescue dogs don’t just change lives, they save them — sometimes literally, always emotionally. Whether they’re curled up at our feet or bounding beside us, they remind us that love doesn’t need pedigree papers or a huge pricetag.

To honor these incredible companions, here’s a little poem!

Once caged, now free to chase the breeze,
With eyes that ask, “Will you love me, please?”
A wag, a lick, a happy little bark —
A rescue’s love leaves a lasting mark.
They're not broken, just waiting to shine
With a heart of gold that you’ll soon call mine.
