Whether you’re a proud dog owner, a new puppy parent, or seeking solutions for specific behavioural challenges, our tailored services cater to every canine need. Since 2004 Happy Dogs has been dedicated to helping owners look after their pets. Our aim is to help you build up a relationship in which your dog understands you and you understanding your dog’s needs - both mentally and physically. We have been able to help many owners over the years, that have almost come to the end of their tether with not having any success with their troubled dogs. With our guidance and instructions, the results we see are very rewarding! We also get very excited to spot a talented dog so keen to work, that they get the success they deserve and pass all relevant tests/procedures to become a working dog – extremely fulfilling and satisfying for both owner and dog. We can give advice on all aspects of owning a dog, from choosing the right breed for you; preparing for your puppy; training; food; equipment; exercise; health; law. Enjoy your loyal companion they are a fantastic addition to your family!

FIREWORKS
With their sensitive hearing, the intense noise of fireworks can cause many dogs to panic. Take your dog for an extra long walk during daylight hours. At home create a safe place/den indoors with a radio or tv on will help. Avoid reacting to any loud bangs as your dog will pick up on your anxiety - stay relaxed and calm.

Don't forget ID tags and check your microchip details are up to date. Firework bangs can lead to dogs fleeing in fright.

We are currently looking for high-drive Labradors & Spaniels* with the potential to undertake Military Search Dog training. This is due to an increase in our annual requirements.

We’re particularly interested in confident, energetic dogs aged 10 months to 2 years, that have a strong desire to play, retrieve & work.

* Similar breeds may be considered
Dogs will be assessed for their suitability, including temperament, health, confidence & drive.
