Sadly we have had a deceased cat brought into us. It is an un-neutered male cat, grey, semi longhaired. He was found at Hay Street across from the college car park.
Please get in touch if you think he may be your cat.

🩸 We’re looking for fit and healthy dogs to join our local Blood Donor Register, whose owners we can call upon when a life-saving canine donation is needed. 🩸

For your dog to become a blood donor, they must meet certain criteria. Your dog’s welfare is always our priority and so for them to become a lifesaver, they must:

° be fit and healthy
° be aged between 1 and 8 years
° weight more than 25kg
° have a good temperament
° be relaxed in a veterinary environment
° be born in the UK
° have never travelled abroad
° be vaccinated up to date
° not be on any medication (other than routine preventative treatment such as wormer/flea + tick treatments)
° have never received a blood transfusion

Potential donors will receive a free health check, blood test and blood typing.

Donors will receive a certificate, bandana, tote bag, dog treats, toy of your choice and lots of cuddles. 🐶

If your dog meets the criteria and would like to be added to our Blood Donor Register, please pop in to reception and fill out an application form.

Thank you! 🥰

As pets get older, some changes can develop gradually and may not always be obvious at home.

HealthCheck360 for Mature Pets takes a closer look at their health, with an experienced veterinary nurse assessing areas including mobility, lifestyle, and physical health.

It also includes urine analysis and blood screening, with lymphoma cancer screening for at-risk breeds. Blood pressure testing may also be carried out for cats where needed.

These additional checks can help build a fuller picture of your pet’s health as their needs change.

For dogs over 5 years old and cats aged 7 years and over.

🐱 A little reminder for our cat owners! 🐾

For the safety and comfort of your feline friends, please ensure that all cats are brought to the practice in a suitable, secure cat carrier for their appointments.

🚗 A carrier helps keep your cat safe during the journey.
🐾 It reduces the risk of escape in the car park and reception area.
💚 It helps your cat feel more secure in an unfamiliar environment.

Please make sure the carrier is sturdy, secure, well-ventilated and large enough for your cat to sit, stand and turn around comfortably.

We kindly ask that cats are not carried in your arms, loose in the car, or brought in open-top bags or unsuitable containers.

Thank you for helping us keep all our patients safe and happy! 💚
