‼️Just a wee reminder that the bridge closes next Thursday, 16th of October‼️

Please allow yourself extra time when coming to your appointments, for both drop off and pick ups as the diversion roads will be crazy busy, I am back to back with appointments everyday until im off on maternity leave so there isnt room for wiggling about appointment times for lateness unfortunately ⏱️

I hope everyones had a fab weekend🐾 only 5 more weeks left at work and I cant believe how fast the time has flown in!👶🏼

Just a little heads up for my customers that come over the bridge to get to us🐾

⚠️ Elgin’s New Bishopmill Bridge is to undergo a £380,000 upgrade, the first in its 39 year history.

The bridge, which connects the town centre to Bishopmill on the A941 at the Boroughbriggs Road junction, will close for up to five weeks from 16 October 2025.

Pat Munro Ltd will carry out the work, which will include replacement of bearings, expansion joints, scour protection, waterproofing and surfacing works.

The bridge carries around 14,400 vehicles a day and is a main link through Elgin from the A96 towards Lossiemouth. The footpath under the bridge will close from 17 September until 29 October, with a fully accessible alternative nearby at the Cooper Park side.

The diversion for drivers will be via Morriston Road towards the A96 West or the Landshut Bridge from Lesmurdie Road to the A96 East. Abnormal loads will take the latter route. The Boroughbriggs Road junction will also form part of the closure.

Double Coated Dogs Information 🐾🐾

I’ve had alot of questions lately (especially with this sunny weather we have been having) to why double coated dogs cant be clipped

I know some people think that by clipping off all that hair that it will help to cool the dog down, but infact it does the opposite and is really dangerous!

Having border collies myself I know that in the warmer weather it sometimes feels impossible to keep them cool, but by keeping up with brushing to help get rid of any dead undercoat, making sure they have plenty fresh water at all times and keeping them in cool dark places (ie having curtains in the house closed, fans on if you have any) and not going for walks when the temperature is high outside, are all little things you can do to make sure your dog is as safe as possible in this weather☀️

*Due to some medical reasons some double coated may be shaved if authorised by a vet🐾*
