😻Clarification About Gayzette Cats😸
I often get contacted by people who are confused, thinking they’re speaking with Pauline—so I just wanted to clarify. Pauline has been a dear friend of mine for many years. I began my journey with early-generation Bengals, starting with F2 and F1s, over 15 years ago, and later transitioned into Savannahs.
It had always been my dream to one day raise my own litters. My family and I even looked at properties that would allow us to pursue this passion. However, due to my son’s health issues, I had to put those plans on hold for a while.
When Pauline decided to retire and my son’s condition stabilized, everything just seemed to fall into place. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have Pauline—someone I deeply respect—as a mentor and friend . I’m honoured to continue working with the Gayzette line, and I’m also excited to introduce a couple of lovely new boys to our program. I can’t wait to see what they produce for us.
My personal passion and experience have always been with early-generation cats. I absolutely love everything about them—it’s just who I am and what I enjoy. These cats are truly special, and I’m proud of what we’re building here.
There’s a lot of advice out there saying, “You mustn’t start with an early generation cat,” but in my opinion, that’s not entirely fair. If you’re responsible and have done your research, there’s no reason you can’t welcome one of these amazing animals into your home. It’s a very special thing to own one of these exotic cats—they’re not for everyone, but for the right person, they are incredibly rewarding companions.
The key to raising well-adjusted early-generation cats is socialisation. From the very beginning, they must be exposed to love, care, and everyday life. We work hard to ensure our kittens are raised in a home environment, never outside or isolated. They receive plenty of love and attention, which helps them grow into confident, affectionate cats who fit beautifully into family life.
So far, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every litter we’ve raised here. It’s been such a joy to watch our kittens move on to fabulous homes and new families. I’ve always kept in contact with each one, and I regularly receive updates—which I absolutely love. So far, every kitten that has left us has fitted in amazingly well. I always do my best to match each kitten to the right family.
I’m always happy to answer any questions, and I much prefer to meet potential new families in person. Meeting face-to-face allows us both to feel comfortable—me in knowing where one of our special babies is going, and you in knowing who you’re adopting from.
I hope this helps bring a bit of clarity about who I am and what we’re all about here at Gayzette/Gorsebrae Cats.
I am also excited to share soon with you all some of our current babies that are doing very well.. 😸 here’s a sneaky peak and this little munchkin
