Happy Friday Everyone!

Our Happy Friday story this week is of gorgeous Molly.

Molly is a 12 year old Golden Retriever, and a complete sweetheart! Anytime she comes in practice, she is gentle and kind, and loves all the attention from whoever is on the desk.

She recently had a period of inappetance, lethargy and some gastrointestinal issues. As anyone with a Golden Retriever knows, if they don't want to eat, that's a big red flag!

Her owners brought her to our Hillhouse Road practice, where she was hospitalised to ensure she stayed hydrated, and given a scan of her tummy to rule out having eaten anything she shouldn't have. After a couple of days of medication, love, recheck consultations to monitor her, and rest we are pleased to report Molly is back to normal. Her owners report she is back to eating as eagerly as ever! We will refill the treat bowl!!

Little Lola is a wee bit bigger now, but this was her in for her first appointment, weighing a tiny 1.9kg. She left with a Healthy Pet Club membership, and a little PitPat Friendly Practices voucher to get a doggy fitbit!

Happy Friday Everybody!

It is well and truly grass seed season, and we are seeing alot of patients at the moment for the blasted things getting stuck in places they aren't meant to be!

This pretty girlie is Sassie, and her owner recently noticed she had a sore eye. She brought her down to the Newhaven practice, where vet Georgie managed to get this massive grass out of little Sassie's eye.

She was so phenomenally well behaved, and so patient whilst we managed to take this out of her eye. She has made a great recovery, and we are pleased to say is all better!

Watch out for grass seeds with your pets. Good places to check are eyes, ears, and in between their toes. If you have any suspicions you know who to call!
