One more sleep until 🎉

You’ll find us all weekend at The Muddy Paws Tavern. We’ve got a jam-packed line up, so here’s what you can expect:

10:30 - 11:30 - Pawtrait Hour with ME. Come along and get a free photo of your pup 😍

12:00 - 12:30 - Meet your favourite influencers (photo shows but we have loads of lovely doggos joining us).

1:00 - 1:30 - Barking Bingo! Hosted by my Sister, who was just made to be a bingo caller 🤭

2:30 - 3:00 - The Big Pub Quiz with (Mark Collins)

We will be running two giveaways across the weekend and you can enter as many times as you like, so make sure you come along for that. We also have 50 exclusive goodie bags up for grabs at the beginning of each day… and a doggy pic’n’mix (at a secret time - keep an eye on our socials, as that is very special) 🙌🏼

Plus, at 11, 1 and 3 each day our neighbour will be running Pup Art Classes 🥰

I listened to part 1 today which was all about neurodivergence in dogs, something I had never even considered. A very interesting listen (and I’m not normally a podcast kinda girl). Looking forward to what episode 2 has to offer 🐕

Are you a new dog mum living in a new build? Let me share my personal tips with you… 🥵

A few things that genuinely help us during heatwaves:

☀️ Keep windows open but shut curtains and blinds when the sun is coming through. Open the loft hatch towards the end of the day too, to help some of that heat escape up

☀️ Frozen or cold treats work wonders (and are fun). Things like watermelon, home made lollies, a filled .uk in the freezer 🍉🍦

☀️ Keep an eye on water bowls and add extra ones around the house (dogs will often go thirsty rather than walking to the nearest bowl)

☀️ Sometimes, it’s actually cooler to be outdoors in the shade. Don’t keep your dog in just because you feel like you should - you know your home and your dog best

☀️ If your dog usually shares the bed with you, consider putting them downstairs during heatwaves. You all act like little radiators and sometimes everyone sleeps better with more space 😅

☀️ If your dog insists on sunbathing, cooling vests can help. They start at £12 from .petsathomeuk

☀️ Fans definitely help. We have a and would struggle to sleep without it. Portable air con units can too, although I’ve not personally tried one yet

☀️ Hydration supplements are worth a try if your dog is bad at drinking water. I’ve heard good things about

☀️ Also worth mentioning - don’t shave your dog during hot weather unless specifically advised to. For a lot of breeds, their coat actually helps regulate temperature and shaving can sometimes make things worse. But do keep on top of their grooming, as that can help!
