The venue has indoor and outdoor provision so the event goes ahead whatever the weather.

A smile filled with sadness!

Lunch yesterday was at Mandy's Kitchen in Hampden Park. They really do cook the very BEST sausages there (Mum reckons their omlettes are out of this world too).

Sadly Mandy's Kitchen will be closing after this Saturday, so if you do want to experience the very best sausages in town you need to get there quickly!

We will miss them and wish everyone there the very best for their futures.

Had a fantastic day yesterday. A delicious sausage lunch at Hikers Rest in East Dean and then off to Abbot's Wood where we did a long, easy, circular stroll of Arlington Reservoir and the wood.

It was perfect for a hot day, lot's of shade and a lovely cool breeze blowing off the water. There were lots of spots to stop for a rest and have a cooling drink - including the ARLINGTON RESERVOIR KIOSK which serves lots of yummy snacks.

This is Grumpy wearing his yellow reactive dog lead. The lead is there to send a message.

The 'yellow dogs' are dogs that need space. They might be wary of other dogs like Grumpy, nervous around people, recovering from an illness, in training, deaf or blind. There are so many reasons.

So please, if you see a 'yellow dog' give them space, make sure your dog is under control and respect the yellow. Let the 'yellow dog' enjoy their walk in peace.

Please don’t be one of the 'It’s ok my dog's friendly' brigade and as a person, only approach a yellow dog after checking with the owner.

Grumpy says thank you in advance!

Well my eyes nearly popped out of my head today when the waitress brought my sausage in Trading Post in Lewes!

Don't worry I saved some for Tycho and Grumpy!

Today we parked up just off the A27 near Brighton and walked up to the Chattri. There were cows and sheep en route so I was kept on a short lead.

The Chattri is a beautiful memorial built to honour the Indian soldiers who died during WW1. It stands in a quiet space on the downs and is a lovely place to visit, enjoy the views and listen to birdsong.

The annual memorial service was taking place. Hundreds of people had come to pay their respects and many wreaths were laid.

An easy 30 minute walk each way, with a delightful space to rest and relax when you get there.

To celebrate my 10th Gotcha Day mum and dad took me to Hyde Corner and bought me TWO freshly cooked, delicious sausages. Dad chopped them up into lovely little pieces for me. It's a good life!

Thanks so much to Auntie Lynne Spencer and Give a Dog a Home UK for helping Bonnies Babies travel safely all the way from Spain and find loving homes here in the UK. Ten years has flown by.

After a walk to the pier I got my first bus trip on the 13x from the pier to Birling Gap - not sure I was too keen, it was a bit bumpy!

Birling Gap was super busy - mum had to queue half an hour for the loo!

After that we set off on the walk home. Lots of hills to climb and descend. But not too tough and fantastic views of the Belle Tout and Beachy Head Lighthouse.

It was quite windy and I was kept on a lead as a few doggies have gone over the edge.

Back towards Holywell and then into the newly dog friendly Ship Inn (right side and garden only) for a refreshing drink. Lots of lovely smells as they brought out some delicious looking food from the kitchen.

A good day - now ready for bed!

Great walk in the country today. A 10.36km circular walk from the Exceat car park, through West Dean, onto Litlington, where we stopped at the amazing Litlington Tea Gardens for a very tasty lunch (including a sausage for me!), up to Alfriston and then back along the river to Cuckmere. Great views - especially of the White Horse.

We saw loads of animals and wildlife. Goats, herons, geese with goslings and some vary scary black cows who looked very angry with us, so we scuttled off the path and let them go past.
