Meet Chester, one of my lovely new clients! 🐾
The plan for our first visit was to head out for a walk, but on arrival it was clear that Chester was feeling a little unsure about me being in his home without his mum there, despite us having met previously.
Rather than pushing him beyond his comfort zone, I adjusted our session to focus on building trust and helping him feel safe and relaxed. We spent some quality time together in the garden, allowing Chester to get to know me at his own pace through gentle interaction, reassurance, and plenty of positive encouragement. First photos 5min after after arrival, 2nd 15min in much happier 😊

Establishing a strong bond and respecting each dog’s individual needs is always my priority, and sometimes that means taking a step back and letting them set the pace. By the end of our visit, Chester was much more comfortable and happy in my company.

I’m looking forward to getting to know this handsome boy better and joining him on future adventures when he feels ready. 💙🐶
