An important part of being a dog groomer is earning a dog's trust. Whatever the reason, not every dog enjoys being groomed, and today Winston, a little rescue dog, was a perfect example of that. 🐾
For me, grooming isn't always about achieving a flawless finish. It's about reading a dog's body language, working at their pace, and doing as much or as little as they're comfortable with. Building trust will always come before perfection.
Today was all about taking things slowly, giving Winston the time he needed, and helping him feel safe. Every positive experience is a step forward, and hopefully, in time, he'll discover that a pamper day isn't quite as scary as he once thought. 🙈✂️❤️
Well done, Winston. You did brilliantly today. 🐾
