Da boys back in business 😎😎.
After our previous visit to Burrows causing me to be a little harsh on myself 🥲 Our scrubbing up skills definitely paid off yesterday! 🥳.
A couple of weeks ago, I asked a few extra questions for us both, and in hind sight it probably was a tad too soon - what with my nerves creeping back in and Cruz settling back into full competition mode 🤣. BUT saying that, it was a day of firsts…..
First hardest medium for us both ✅
First canter halt entry ✅
First travers in a test ✅
First counter-canter simple change ✅
All of which he performed impeccably, and we managed to get 2 more qualifying scores!! 🥳. Lots of lovely and reasonable comments from the judge too 💪🏻🌟.
Although being slightly disappointed with our mark on paper, there were sooooo many positives and we returned home with homework in full swing….. 🏋️.
Fast forward to yesterday….
The fabulous Tessa Thorne warmed us up and she noticed our homework 😅.
Onto the elementary which seen a hot class of competition 🥹. Although I felt like it wasn’t one of our best tests…. Cruz performed our weaknesses with strength! Finishing 5th Silver and 7th overall on 67.81%🌟💛.
Quick refuel and onto the medium…..
He bossed the warm up and the whole test to be honest….. however sack the pilot…. I forgot my left’s and right’s in the 1st pirouette and let him down with a -2 🥲 I guess we can look on the bright side, that will never happen again! 🤦🏻♀️🤣🤞🏻. Many 7’s and 7.5’s across the board with occasional 8’s. I couldn’t be more prouder of him, especially with all of the set backs and disbenefits 😎💪🏻. We finished 1st bronze and 4th overall with less than 2% from 1st even with a blip…. What a dude! 🥳.
