🌸 Happy 1st June! Summer is officially here and what better way to kick it off than giving your dog the best start to the month at Hugo's Fun Dog Field! 🐾

🌟 Meet Elsie, a gorgeous 15 month old Boxer who has been making the most of our Bridge field whilst she has been in season! Her owners got in touch to share how much the field has helped them over the last few weeks and messages like this really do make our day!

This is such an important point that doesn't always get talked about. Dogs in season still need exercise, mental stimulation and fun, but taking them to busy public parks or areas with other dogs can be really stressful and unpredictable! Our fully fenced, private hire fields mean Elsie gets the whole space completely to herself, with no other dogs, no worries and no stress for her owners either! 🔒

Boxers are an incredibly playful, energetic and people loving breed. They were originally bred as working dogs and have a huge amount of energy to burn! A private session where they can absolutely let loose is just perfect for this breed! 🐕

🐾 Fun dog fact! Did you know that Boxers got their name from their habit of standing on their hind legs and batting their front paws at each other, just like a boxer in the ring! We think Elsie looks like a total champion!

🌟 Darcy absolutely loving life at our Bridge field this week, eyes on the ball, ears up and ready to go! Just look at that view in the background too, we really do have one of the most beautiful settings for a dog session! 🎾🐾

Darcy is a gorgeous Dalmatian cross and if there's one thing Dalmatians are famous for, it's their boundless energy and stamina! Originally bred to run alongside horse drawn carriages for miles at a time, Dalmatians have incredible endurance and absolutely thrive when they have space to really stretch their legs and go for it, and our fully fenced Bridge field gives them exactly that in a completely safe and secure environment! 🐕

🖤🤍 Say hello to Venus and Eric, two gorgeous Dobermanns enjoying the field at Dunkirk!

Venus is a very special girl. Newly adopted and on her very first visit to Hugo's Fun Dog Field, she also happens to be an albino Dobermann, meaning shade and a safe environment aren't just a luxury for her, they're a necessity!

Did you know? Albinism in dogs is caused by a lack of melanin pigment, making them sensitive to sunlight and at higher risk of sunburn and eye sensitivity. Our shaded field at Dunkirk gives dogs like Venus the perfect place to explore and run free without worry.

We are so glad Venus has found her forever home and we hope this is the first of many visits with her big pal Eric by her side! 🐾

🌟 Meet Pablo: and if you can catch him standing still for long enough to say hello, consider yourself very lucky! This stunning boy spent his entire session at our Dunkirk field chasing every bird sound he could find and we are absolutely here for it! 🐾🐦

With those gorgeous long flowing locks and his incredible black and white markings, Pablo looks every inch the countryside explorer, and Dunkirk’s woodland edges gave him plenty to investigate!

🌳 Speaking of Dunkirk, with half term in full swing this week, it’s the perfect time to bring the whole family along and give your dog a brilliant off lead run in a completely secure, fully fenced field! No worries about other dogs, no stress, just pure fun for everyone!

With the warm weather continuing, Dunkirk has some wonderful shaded areas which are perfect for keeping your dog cool while the kids enjoy watching them zoom around! 🌡️ Always remember to exercise dogs in the cooler parts of the day during warm spells, early morning and evening slots are available and prove really popular during half term!

🌟 Meet Hugo, the Cocker Spaniel who clearly knows how to make himself at home at our Dunkirk field! If that giant tractor tyre is his throne, we think he's earned it! 🐾👑

With some genuinely warm weather upon us, we want to make sure all our gorgeous visitors stay safe and happy during their sessions. Dogs can overheat surprisingly quickly in the heat, and Cocker Spaniels in particular, with their thick, gorgeous coats, need a little extra care when temperatures rise! 🌡️

Here's what we've got in place to help:
💧 Water is available at BOTH our Bridge and Dunkirk fields so your pup can drink and cool down throughout their session

🌳 Dunkirk has plenty of lovely shaded areas where dogs can take a breather between their zoomies

🌅 We have now opened EARLY MORNING and LATE EVENING slots so your dog can enjoy a full off lead run in the cooler parts of the day, no more missing out just because the sun is out!

🌟 Just look at this little superstar showing off on the logs at our Bridge field! We think this fluffy Doodle cross has absolutely nailed the "King of the Castle" pose! 🐾

With temperatures rising this week, it's worth knowing that early morning and evening sessions are a fantastic way to let your dog enjoy a full off lead run without the midday heat! 🌡️ Did you know that dogs can overheat much faster than humans, especially in warmer weather? Keeping walks and runs to cooler parts of the day makes a huge difference to their comfort and safety!

Both our fields have water available on site, so your pup can zoom, explore and cool down all in one visit! 💧

🌟 Meet Tato! This gorgeous Staffy cross has been visiting our Dunkirk field for a few weeks now and his journey has been absolutely wonderful to hear about!

His owner shared that when he first arrived, they nicknamed the agility equipment "suspicious agility" because Tato wasn't so sure about it! Fast forward a few visits and he's now king of the podium! 👑🐾

🏃 Wolfie is ON THE RUN! 🐾

Just look at him go! Wolfie's owner said it perfectly about our Bridge field:

💬 "The best thing about this field is the wide open space to run and play and the stunning views from the top of the hill."

And we could not agree more! Bridge really is something special. A huge open space where your dog can stretch their legs and really let loose, with the most breathtaking views from the top of the hill once they get there. 🌄

It is the kind of place that is just as enjoyable for the owner as it is for the dog!
